Personal history

Dad was out of the picture and a lot of mum's time was devoted more to the boys than me because of their younger age so i was left alone but that's okay :,).   Doesn’t like the Speculative nature of everyone in Simicali and kinda has a thing against it's suspicious, shady government   Exposed to the corrupt ways of the governing body in my first two years when some class mates/ professors disappeared   Ditched her final year to do research   An aspect of nobility is to learn of the arts; in Morningstar’s case, music. within vibrations of sound there sits arcana that, with certain frequencies, you can cast spells Sent to boarding school at 8, caused a ruckus early on but straightened out over the years to become a well rounded student.

Session 11 notes

We know our objective. So for now downtime.   Good court and Temple are best for reading.   Panachea can afford luxuries. They do have some constructs doing work when they are sleeping.   We decide to gather resources in the morning and set off in the late afternoon. Levi and I go to look for some reading material for each of our specialist areas. We go to the Goodcourt’s general store and the owner of the establishment tells us that the count in town has a large library, he often snipes up a lot of books whenever they come into town.   We meet a little lad. A green Kobold who’s obsessed with all sorts of weird potions. We ask for regular healing potions, he sulks and grabs about 50; 300 GP FOR THE LOT… I don’t have the money.   So me and Levi are let into the count’s place. The man is in a chezlong. Hey remember the Dhampire who defended us? This count guy is definitely his dad. He is alive, somewhat. There’s a lot of long ass history there.   He has a non-fiction library that I’m very intrigued to look at their arcane non-fiction. Apparently I have access to that the whole time.   LEVI BRINGS OUT GLOAM THE COUNT KNOWS GLOAM WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?! I scurry away and briefly say goodbye to go read books and get out of this tense situation. I gather a list of books on Arcana and the Laylines.   It takes us about 2 days of travel to get there. We arrive during a storm. It is raining very heavily when we arrive and it only gets worse when we venture further into the forest.   We arrive at the site where the Panachea is set up. They have fully set up camp. There sniper towers, maybe 2 or 3 charcoal pits.   We also find a wreckage of a robot worker, a smashed kart and a pile of about a dozen low rank Panachea company members. They have been torn asunder by some unknowable force. Nickton finds a trail beyond here. There is a large clearing containing a construct.   I go to touch it, it twitches. Once contact is made, a light hum begins as the construct boots up. This construct is humanoid in shape. It boosts itself up. They’re friendly. Simple but friendly. They’re name is Aqeel. They have been here long. Their purpose is unknown but they have one goal: survival. They appear to be a reforged: a relic of the Rusoné empire. They developed a cult and they would attempt to resurrect their best soldiers by attaching their souls to constructs.   They decide to join us as they do what they need to do in order to protect this place.   We have Freemen at arms: Chods Vogal’s exiled guard: Warewolves Pavice: great snipers Spadoné: great with chokes and swords Ogre: specialist Munitions mage: they have a banner, a staff for casting spells. They are accompanied by a canon.   The current airship they have parked at camp presumably brought in the cavalry.   Aqeek crosses the bridge and OH GOD. Stealth is gone. We’re going in with a full frontal assault.

Session 10 notes

Session 10 notes       It’s a new dawn.       So, uh, Tesse is just gone in the early morning.       Nickton finds a milky eye that can move on its own and in Nickton and Tesse’s room is a message that says “For you, My dear”.   This eye can move freely on its own despi tree not being attached to anything as of now.       About 5 minutes pass and Tesse comes in. She says there’s been some kind of attack on the village and she has been grievously injured: she’s covered in blood.       I am shut out of the room. I don’t know why. Holden arrives not long after to ask some questions and tell us something.       Holden saw something last night to prove our innocence. Said it looked like some combo of a Mangy dog/ Old woman.   We have an out and so we skip town as fast as we can.       Some figure is standing looking down on the village from an opposite edge. Some 7ft tall figure wearing bright blue tartan under some armour.       Everyone’s a little stressed. Nickton and Tesse are very tensly discussing what they need to share with us and Nickton is very emotional; far more than he ever has been before.       Tesse is under the effect of an 8th level modify memory.       She explains what she has witnessed over her life. How she was saved by Nycton when she was young. How she was tortured by hags and had been traumatised by the events than transpired.       I cast identify. Tesse is under the effect of a power spell that modified her memories. Levi dispels it, I tried to stop him. I did, I really did.       Tesse remembers. “Vile lives”. She is the hag, she may be inside Tes. She is taking over.       “She never would, she is no monster”.       Vile- suffix used by a few prominent Hags. Hags known as vile are known for their big showy displays of torture. They take great pleasure in the spectacle of suffering.       As someone who never grew up with a father, I am deeply inspired by his resolve and his optimism in the face of this bleak situation. We will help Tesse, we all will and he will do more than any of us ever could have done.       This figure who has been stalking us is a firbolg. They weald a green bow.       Nickton comes back. Stoic but silent. Something was wrong but he was never at all in a position of good metal health.       After travelling for about 3 days. We stop in Ch’vosi to buy the horses and gather resources.       After a few other days of travel, we arrive in Seriaté. We settle at a tavern called “the puddle shark”. It is run by a combo of humans, or a and half-orcs as they give us directions to Mill Hill, and the tavern known as The Devil’s Advocate; the place we were meeting the Chengichar. He’s sat at a private table, at the back, say “the winds comes on the waves”.       There are 3 people:       Chengichar- Dark hair, granite skin (Kedaphin dwarf), incredible suit, heart appearance, missive cigar, gold along his arms. An icon in every sense.       Nervous half elf       Fellow dwarf, maybe a relative of some sort.           Lombani-   We have done Ch’vosi a massive favour by doing what we have done. Lombani couldn’t keep a word to save his life (now proven). Far too ambitious for his own good.       The Queen-   Puts on a facade of being a saviour but she’s got dirty money. She’s a massive fascist and he’s a massive anarchist.       L’leiocadhil-   They’re called “the big Urgh”. He knew that L’leiocadhil was associated with the Queen.       Emsha Buker-   He thought he was playing both sides b it he was just an idiot caught in the middle. Lombani sent him on a suicide mission to attack a ship, supposedly that’s why the prince and his wyvern riders intervene as quickly as he did.       Getting into P’hicoi-       Explain how we’ve made some enemies within L’leiocadhil. We want to know if we can call in the Chengichar’s boys as a hit squad.       We explain not far from here is a small ruin of a large castle, largely flooded but it’s the place that the Urgh is pulling its strings from.   There’s a Vampire who lives up there; locals will know more about him. Some lord who wanted to join Prysula and he never heard back, taking a massive grudge over it. Then he’s a vampire, Chengichar doesn’t know how.       2nd set of terms- He’s facing a lot of pressure rn. There are some woods outside P’hychoi who are cutting woods down, we get a place to stay, a ship, a crew and a hitsquad.       These mercs are being funded by Panachea company. They are a large standing army for hire. They’re on a scale no other company approaches. 20/30K men. A lot of time, you get what you pay for. If you want a job done they’ll do it, if you don’t wanna pay, it’s real cheap but you won’t get it done. It coats the southern tip of the peninsula that con seals the road to P’hychoi.

Session 8.5 notes

We had a drink a long rest.   We buy 2 horses: they are named Puddles (Gold with dark splotches) and “a currently unnamed black horse”.   We’re going to see Holdem the bandit captain again as we try to set up a meeting with the Chengichar.   We find that they have moved but remember they had a ballista with them. We find their tracks and eventually we also find a broken ballista that was shoved into the river.   The ballista was found in a river located near a a small, very isolated village we stumble into.   We’re stopped by guards who want our reason to get into town. I fuck up and Francis takes lead, we get loads of information from an absent minded guard like that the town is being raided by bandits every evening.   Classic village tavern can be found inside. Holden can be found inside playing cards with a well dressed merchant man who is on a losing streak.   Holden says Chengichar isn’t a good man, with a strange sense of honour and justice. We need to meet him on completely neutral grounds, for our sake and his. The only place he does work that’s close is Sarayaté. In a tavern he frequents by the name of the Teifling’s Advocate.   He will do it but only for a favour: he wants us to get rid of his former companions. They’re scumbags but skilled.   It has to be done by the cover of night. Hey look it’s dusk we gather up Holden’s remaining forces and go for a good ol’ killin’.   Within an hour we arrive at a make-ship camp at the mouth of a cave. We sneak in and aim to strike them while there guard is down and these guys are currently relaxing.   Nickton sees there are no other entrances and Levi and Holden investigate: they know we’re here there’s about 13 of them and they are armed to the teeth. Levi opts to steal all of their bows.   There’s a room at the back and a ridge where they fire arrows from.   Holden was in the military in Ly’cilan. It was fucking awful and made him the man he is today, for better and for worse.   We enact an ambush as we hear shouts and jingling from inside the cave.

Session 9 notes

Session 10 notes       Now… WE FIGHT!       Illusory bear-   We let the bear go in front of us and hide behind the bear   Levi opens up with sleet storm, making these chumps even chumpier via blizzard.       Note to self- make stat block for ghosts inside a bear       This guy Gareth we’re fighting is geared out with good spells, fear immunity and some expensive ass armour. Later on we find out that he was a paladin of some sort. He has some really weird stuff going on, he’s immune to the effects of necrotic damage.       So uh… what just happened to Gareth? “No I’m not going, not now, not like this” *dies*       Tesse goes unconscious, Morningstar doesn’t know until she’s dragged out by Nickton. Uh oh breakdown time.       The bandits freak out after Gareth dies, they surrender.       Gareth reeks of necromancy, he holds valuable possessions, he and he is very undead.       Tesse goes to cut him but he gets back up and starts to transform into something, unnatural.       8ft tall, bone hands, skull. Sounds like our killer of Lombani. He seems to deal exclusively Necrotic damage and is weakened by the presence of light.       Tesse keeps going down and I don’t like it.       Ok so: he grows HUGE ARMS (15ft reach) and almost grabs Tesse. Nickton gets hit. Just before it can act again, Francis deals a killing blow, destroying the body in the process.       Levi finds a culty door which hides conjuration and necromancy. He opens the door. Behind the door there is a 15ft pile of skeletons; some fresh, most old and yellowed. A dull red glow is also sits in the cavern: a ritual circle, an alter with a pigs body split clearly down the middle and a beast’s head, attached to the pig as it sings a sultry tune.       Levi feels it look at him when he asks him a question. They talk.       This skull is Gloum: a right hand of Mügraus; a demon lord. One of his others betrayed him. This demon was cowardly and asked for mercy, but Mügraus is not a merciful master.       He has knowledge on Tesse’s powers. He tells us to watch Tesse on the night of a full moon.   He says that it’s likely that Lilliouchadhil was trying to make a Lich.       He turns to me, I found out he sees something, a magic within me, that he is fearful of.       He was last conscious when he was talking to Mügraus. Whatever Gareth did, he brought Gloum back from to some form on consciousness.       Levi is offered to attune to Gloum. His life force, for power beyond his wildest belief. Levi takes the deal, and while we agree OoC, much to the party’s Chagrin.       We talk to Holdon and we can finally meet the Chengichar at the devil’s advocate.     We now have allies in the form of Holdon and company and, as such, we drink in a night of merriment.     Levi eats his fruit.

Session 8 notes

Francis ate his story fruit: Leocadil have been watching our caravan The assassin is undead and most likely magical in nature There is a ruined castle, in one of the rooms is a hooded figure speaking to someone of a vague height and a ginger-ended beard through the same mirror as Lomvani and the Queen has. Something comes out, it has 3 delicate and manicured hands adorned with 3 identical sapphire rings on the index, middle and ring fingers.   Encha might know something but our caravan’s members may be against us.   Seek out the Chengichar, power-don of the pirate city of P’hycoi   Then the investigation party arrive. The captain is a dwarf. A former wanderer, grizzled and older man, settled down into his role.   Everyone sassing this dwarvern man.   So um yeah we got arrested. We’re kept in custody until we’re proven innocent. Their system of court seems very easily manipulatable but we get GGG’s magical messages if we want them.   We had a close call with one of the guards after Levi sends a message to Daddy Dearest.   GGG comes down so we can send a message. Levi contacts someone but he may not be of immediate help. Francis contacts that bandit captain we met on the road, he can arrange for us to meet the Chengichar. Nickton sends a message, they don’t get a reply.   GGG can get us out. But we would be practically admitting to murder. Because of this, we decide to stay.   Francis: “IS YOUR FATHER THE KING OF BURHOLST?!” Levi: “For now”.   It comes to our court day. There’s about 600/700 people here to act as the jury. Zone of truth is cast on us. 3 supposed eye witnesses saw us throw Lombani out of the window.   1. Villiger Jeff- seems like as he speaks, what he is saying he believes he saw. 2. Mercenary Matthew- the exact same case 3. Magic Merchant Mike- it’s similar again oh god oh fuck   Magistrate comes up to the stand, he has red eyes, that must mean he’s evil! He’s has necromantic aura emanating from him, each of the witnesses has the aura of enchantment around him. WE DISPEL VILLIGER JEFF FROM HIS ENCHANTMENT Our magistrate notices we cast this spell and calls back our Jeff back to the stand. He finally says it’s a load of shit and tells the jury that the other jury members are a load of shit.   Ta’rupka describes the events as we witnessed them. WE WERE PROVEN INNOCENT- and now there’s a bunch of Lombani’s employers who want supposed “justice”. They are let by an angry bald neanderthal whom Francis challenges to a duel in which we cheese with ability checks. Despite this, Francis STILL GOES UNCONSCIOUS. We get him up and his opponent is held until the guard captain can tear him a new ass.   Our magister is one Scolia Cinneigre. He “dabbles in a bit of everything”. He tells of the Chengichar’s gambling den in Phycoi.   We return to find the newly branded tavern and tell Geirson about the bandit leader we met along the road. We get a free drink and soup.

Session 7 notes

* Milk and whisky is actually really nice. Probably just had some bad milk. * Olive and red Gamberson is everywhere. There’s one of Lobani’s guards wearing it. * What’s in that iron door in the corridor on the way to Lobani’s lounging room? * We get locked in to discuss business * Francis immediately dropped D’sarnis’ name to Lombani * The reason why we must fall is “we fall because it keeps us humble”. Actual questions: * This guy believes in fate and would absolutely profit from the extinction of P’hikoi. * He doesn’t want us to doubt anything he says for a second. On business: he speaks as if he were a Devine influence. * Encha is fucking useless: then again, no shit. She has no shortage of pirates so what does Encha bring to the board? * Encha was a literal joke. He’s broke * P’hicoi is southern tip of the peninsula coming off of Clearbar. * This guy said that he’d kill me for prying into his business. Who’s in good favour * A few captains cycle in and out of standing but the house takes a cut of everything. The few that have seen it’s owner have been maimed or killed. They’re a dwarf that goes by Chengiczar or the loose change king (sometimes he’s called Chen-geezer) * Notorious loan shark, got his hands in many businesses. What is the Queen trying to do here: * They know the Queen is at war with them. * We’re gonna have to look the part. * There will be a fair few pirates in P’hicoi and each one will be willing to defend it. Advice of the area: * We have been offered a way in. Lobani has 100 men and can essentially scare civilians to stay inside. The cost; 2 favours. * 1. Get some people to pay Lombani some loans back. 2 people he has in his pocket, Girshkagorsh and Skelly’o * 2. Lombani is on a council and needs a majority of the council to side with him. * We refuse his offer, we ask him to come back, he comes back with guns. Oh no. * Francis makes the first move with a Misty step, shots were fired at Nickton and Morningstar. After the combat: * Lombani got away but this Dragonborn stood down. * This bodyguard says he isn’t acting anywhere near in character right now. * All she knows is that they butted heads in P’hicoi. * There is a door, locked with no key in sight. Until we find a small switch, and a little piece of stone made from the same wall in a spiral shape. * When the stone was applied, it made a blue dot for 3 seconds, we draw a spiral in the air and the door opens. Lombani is inside. * …And he’s talking to the Queen. She says she know who made her run out of time but not Lombani’s ‘interview’ * Who: unknown, someone is threatening him. He was recruited to ensure the lands of Ch’vosi were maintained. * He tells us to not trust our travelling party. * He’s got nothing to gain from us and everything to lose.   * Llioyhdyla: they kinda like the illuminati in the sense that they’re blamed for everything that’s ever gone wrong. Circles of wealthy have real fear of them as they want to control every single government. They believe there’s only a few people who are able to control the destiny of other.   * Morningstar tries to blind him so he doesn’t know when his killer is coming. Then unblinded and unbound. Once we leave: * Once we leave, we see Lombani dead, on the ground. Nickton goes up and finds the Dragonborn guard bleeding out. * Francis finds a figure out of the corner of his eye. He leaves via the balcony and immediately dips into the shadows. * They’re big, at least 8’. Moved fast, very fast. Wearing a large cloak and had these single red pin prick eyes (you know the ones). * That barkeep owns the bar now that Lombani is dead. “Every cloud has silver lining, no?” * GGG says town’s people have been struggling to pay taxes. He took out a loan to get the money. He also says the guard will only need 3 days worth of recovery. * GGG says he needs some yellow-leaf Patagonia.   * We to town * Our contact was immediately killed * Our employer is in on it * We don’t know who to trust anymore Herbs * We good herbs, i got hag’s hair (recreational MJ). * Fortune fruit could give us knowledge The caravan and the among us game * Canbaans are the “plain and honest merchants who run the caravan”. * Lackey was hand picked by the Queen to accompany Kaban

Session 6 notes

Tesse and Francis are stuck inside a now crawled chamber and idk what to do.   Morningstar doesn’t know this but they’re stuck fighting a 7’ft basalt statue in the shape of an elf. Nickton is trying to pry open the wall. I feel useless. I couldn’t even do anything to help them. I’m meant to look after these people. Tesse dispels the door. Why are they still fighting? Shouldn’t we be running away from this thing? We’ve clearly done something wrong here, angered some spirit, and yet they’re still going. The creature has lair actions. Wythod gets up and then the next turn summons a image of a Bronze dragon. This dragon starts ripping ass through this statue, like he’s doing so much damage. The statue crumbles but pretty soon after we hear wails from down a corridor. We plan an ambush for these creatures and wait for them to come approach.   Note to self: take spirit guardians on a character at some point. It’s really good.   These ghosts appearing and we take a large chunk of them out thanks to Nickton’s keen aim and Tesse lapping round the room with her spirit guardians.   Bythod is fucked up but he ain’t dead yet. He explains that he has met Virachavod. He has an incantation for summoning the dragon that his family draws their power from. Francis has dragon essence in his sword. ‘Kingdom of the delta’ at the mount of the Esbet; that’s where the dragon’s domain was at.   Ok so we’re allowed to take what we want. He gives us a cuirass and a c Calvary Seiber. We drop a few silver for the ferryman on his passing.   Identify:   Cuirass: Armour of gleaming, it can never dirty. Went to Tesse. Seiber: Moon touch blade. Went to Nickton. Tapestry: Purely historical. Went to Meeee   Francis has a vision when he touches something: BIG CITY, SANDS, OVER A DELTA, HOLY SHIT HE SEEING IT FROM THE DRAGON’S PERSPECTIVE. Idylon: part of a soul trapped in some objects (such as a hexblade) Francis owes a debt to this dragon, Virachavod. Francis owes her his life and will do anything to repay it.   There is something Girshkagorsh needs to tells us about: they have a goblin infestation in their holiday home.   We hard up to Lobani’s free-house. We head up to the open area/ main entrance to the building.   I order whisky and milk from this Dragonborn barkeep. It was horrible, I chugged it and made a mess of myself but this barkeep finds me funny. He takes us in the direction of Lonvani where we hope we can have a pleasant conversation with him.

Session 5 notes

“Yup, that me. You’re probably wondering how I got here” So last we left off we were found this huge troll with all sorts of objects stuck in it’s skin. It’s one ugly mamajama Tesse runs off to get into melee- oh god no This troll seems to have some kind of extended regeneration but an aversion to fire. Also it doesn’t need it’s organs.   Wythod Calcinas- Old elf man. The troll was an unfortunate resident that lived near his shack. He seems so calm, it is because he is ready. He built a HUT SINCE HE GOT HERE. No truth is being concealed. He’s on a journey, he’s going to Ch’vosi and he’s going to die. He met the love of his life Katya ages ago but she died a long time ago. He wants to be buried next to her. His family were royal once- once saw this city when it was in its prime.   Gunter- Royal Wythods, 600 years ago. Last standing regent before the nation collapsed. Abdicated shortly after what destroyed this city.   There used to be a nation here. It was an advancement of an Elvin colony and was once the largest, southern post part of greater Prysula. It was called the kingdom of Beshland. Cite fills the wall where Grygraw is to Serietae on the map; mostly hills and coast. He says that the society fell because a majority of minor nobles were becoming fascinated with a Yuan-ti cult; The cult of Thaassal. It promised power and fortuitous winds, basically wealth. A mix of revelry and a natural disaster, possibly caused Thaassal let to a downward spiral and destruction of the nation.   He asks about the elf colonies: the only one left is Maphesus. Excellent place, white sand as far as the eye can see.   I have a load of stories from an old ass elf man gathered over the course of 2-3 days travel. We then arrive at the outskirts of Chvosi. Little homesteads and hamlets start to show up. About 3 miles up track there is a prominent hill (that defines the Chvosi hill). On top of which sits a new fortress and a village that sits at the bottom of it.   There were some people collecting debts. Those who couldn’t pay had resources taken from them. There are 50/50 split between guards and Olive and green wearing mercenaries. We hide the grimoire. A guard Singles us out, Lombani is expecting us, we’ve been given an in.   Wythod is going to his family’s resting place. Levi was the last one one to talk to him.   Francis- while in Dymath, those scholars mentioned the barrows as a place we could potentially raid for artefacts. We got some things, helped Wythod get up some stairs and enter the temple.   Torches burn very clean, blue flames within the temple. There are Alters all along the hall but the one to Saeroche (god of harvest and music) is way bigger. There is an old half orc man in his 70s; the rest are devotees. Someone wants to get in through a grate, Francis breaks in. They lost the key, it’s all gouche.   There are restless spirits and ghosts in the tomb. Point taken.   Grzegorz Krawczyk- the groundskeeper of the Chvosi burial site. Has eye infection, he shouldn’t be able to see us, yet he does. If we need something, he’ll always have work.   Intricate stones and long stairway later, we make down to a very dusty tomb. Staring out into the dark, a curved wall of a large structure. Sounds like there a source of water flowing against stone. Also see a small wilted underground grove. ME AND NICKTON TRY TO SAVE IT. We succeed by turning on a device that emits a HUGE amount of light.   Something starts moving in a circular room, somethings in there. Grinding sound. There’s a shrine on the right side, an elf hero related to the war of the giants. Old man has to go in there.   Francis goes into the room. There is a statue on the left side. Wythod kneels and mutters the start of a long litany. The room is Lob-sided, why? Decoration appears to stop at one stage, it’s a completely square piece of stone. ITS GONE.   Me and Tesse make dex saves. As the stone shifts to become a wall, I go outside of the room and Tesse jumps in.   I don’t know what’s happening in there for all we know they could already be dead. Oh god, it’s happening again. It’s happening again, I’ve learned nothing since the book.   We’re level 6.

Session 4 notes

Down time: Lakry the teifling is cooking a hot pot I help him and use a portion of my rations for the Hotpot   Fracelupe wants to talk: She hoping to head to Prysula to make a fortune. She asked about what we were doing- I didn’t have an answer, partly because I (Liz) couldn’t remember and partly because of how shook Morningstar was after her vision.   Motias, caravan head wants to talk to us: There is a crossroads Usually take the eastern turn through ruined town. Though there’s been some sights of bandits in the area as of recent. Terrain of the western swamp turn have its own unique challenges. Enshaa might know about these bandits knowing he’s a local to this area. Turns out, he’s dealt with them once in the past. Had a run in over a month ago. They’re a spultet faction who needed weapons and he ran a few up to them. Leader was bald and had many piercings. About 40 of them in total. He didn’t know they were attacking traders.   Chirthise thesis continues: He aims to prove my father’s life work His wizard dad’s work was stolen His thesis is based around the level of spells: he’s trying to prove it exists with concrete numbers.   The journey through bandit’s lair: We make a plan for handling the bandits: Morningstar Francis and Tesse in the front Nickton Levi and Chirthise in Kart 2 Paelat, Fracellopie, Vermorat and Gunter The other bois in 4 Enchaa, Byrod and Lakry in the back Travel for a day without interruption before being stopped by a voice on the road.   The interruption: A man steps into the clear who matches Enchaa’s description. He says we will run into something we’ll regret The entirety of the blank pathway is coated with traps. Numerous caravans have headed this way. Few made it through. He seems to believe what he’s saying. Our sorcerer friend appears to have made it through. “Have you seen any orcs, half orcs or Goliaths?”- Come to think of it, no. Lonvani- hires a bunch of mercenaries to act as a secret government. This bandit captain let us pass safely after we promised we’d kill this Lovani.   The abandoned town: This entire town has been consumed by fog. Something destroyed this town long ago. No one knows what or where it came from. There is a few undead that run through the city.   The bridge:   Some real shit went down when we were going to cross this bridge. There are about 5 bodies and a broken kart on the other side of the bridge. They are dressed like military regulars. Much armour has been scavenged. The bodies are 4 days old. They wear the same Red and Green gamberson. Then we heard the sound of chewing. We noticed it was coming from a green tent and approached it stealthily. It’s hungry, starving even. We prepared to take it out as quickly as possible without it making too much of a mess of us.   The creature: Stringy, just shy of 11ft tall. Branch like arms, skin is jaundice. It’s a troll that has shrapnel and stone and orc tusks ingrained into its body.   Combat starts next session.

Session 3 notes

Arrival in Gygraw:   Pull up to the inn ‘the God’s doorstep’   Something broke a church window, May eat people, highly doubt it Two soldiers on horseback approach us.   Guards looking for Individuals (Orcs, Elves, FIRBOLGS). They have made a big alliance amongst several tactics.   Nickton knows a person in a pair that have attacked a noble in the town: their names were Rethlit and D’lawid.   WOOD ELF JUST APPEARED:   He overheard what the guards told us. They’ve been invading the woods by expanding their town. His name is Vaemokkleir.   They went to go fight a Gryphon   Hutt out there: “Nice old lady” (Cunning Haydy) used to live out there but she was actually a hag in disguise. She’d been using the Gryphon to do bad stuff by holding its unborn hostage.   Count said slay the monster, brought back the head of a “beloved town’s person”. There was a brawl. Count died, but he was brought back by a priest who was around. Also a Woodswalker died during an attack.   Count wants Woodswalkers dead for a death of an old woman, D’lawid wants count dead for the death of a lover.   Ipt’wyrr’gias: the queen in the thicket. Mentioned little barring one myth. Dryad banished from feywild for telling a story that didn’t please some form of high court.   We are welcome to the glade. Both sides will see us as betraying them. Sketchy stuff on both sides.   3 miles, walk along river bank until red knot tree, take left, drop rock into a pond: if it floats, turn left, if it sinks turn right.   We have a password to get into the special secret club.   Rowett Geals: he’s the bartender.   Plan: Go investigate the witch’s hut.   Cunning Haydy’s house:   Pry off wooden boards with crowbar while I cast silent image so we don’t get caught for trespassing.   Blood along the back wall, all the way along.   3 lock boxes: Middle: top half of clamour, rat skull on chain, large folded leaf, ‘black as night’ liquid, classic gnome goggles with a lense smashed (goggles of bright). Left: connected to the floor. All that’s visible is a floor board that’s sealed back. Find a smaller box, Wand in a box. The wand: it’s a wand. Sylvan. Made from wood on a tree that doesn’t grow in this realm. Right: lots of junk from several repair jobs.   Detective Deregne’s investigation: finds a loose brick. Oaken door appears, parts shelves, blood spatter disappears.   OK We’re on a cliff now; WHAT?! Awning, Cauldron and a chest of drawers.   Tesse starts looking through drawers almost instantly. Large egg found in top drawer Macabre grimoire found in middle drawer Small sack doll in bottom drawer: called a poppit; it’s super fucked. Cauldron: no idea what this could be.   Tesse looks in and proceeds to freak the fuck out.   Tesse’s backstory:   Born human in a village in Cerbourre. She doesn’t know her early life that well. She was kidnapped by a cult and was there for about 20 years. Kept in captivity in the mountains in a cave. They wanted to change her into something. Nickton helped her escape. Tesse and Nickton have been on the run ever since then; trying to escape the wrath of the cult. They gave her one kindness in her time in captivity: books to learn from.   We take some blood, Tesse takes the grimoire.   Francis and Tesse go to the Count’s fortress. OoC: It went great. Very great. Count has admitted he was wrong.   Me, Nickton and Levi go to the Woodswalker’s den.   Ipt’wyrr’gias’ tree: golden tree, Thick and tall, lot of hammocks. Surrounded by tents and carts. Best of roughly 20 people, bassy roar fills the air. Anchored immaterial realm, not a part of the feywild but it’s sheltered. Wood elf natives live in the tree, Orcs are staying temporarily. Slightly bigger tent also set there; both woodswalkers would usually stay there.   Ipt’wyrr’gias is a queen of Thicket. Best speak with respect to her cause she’s an old ass MFer. She’s a powerful Dryad, banished for telling a story one of the court head’s did not like.   Hair pulled back, eyes that have seen too much, cloth mask. This is D’lawid. Negotiations were tricky (cause we’re idiots) but   Setting up a meeting: Meet in neutral location to talk. Bring no weapons on either side. Tell him to bring Rethlin’s weapon; it is a bow, bring no arrows. Make sure the orcs can have safe passage and the grove is safe.   Count has sympathy for D’lawid. He is first to offer making amends. D’lawid is reluctant to call truce but does so.   The count gives us 70gp and either one of his bodyguards or a new bow for Nickton. We gotta +1 bow.   We got a story fruit.

Session 2 notes

Man these past two days were wild. Got some new potential friends tho. They all seem pretty good people so far.       Monster in sewers:       Scartting sounds were heard, then a screech.       Walk on down. Everything’s cool. Until Francis and Levi notice something, two figures standing below one of the grates about 100ft down the tunnel.       Light from above casting on two silhouettes, one lying down, the other crouching.       Crouch boi leaps into the water.       We found the guard. He’s dead, chewed up N’ spat out. There’s another corpse in the water as well, just floating.       The corpse attacked.       Monster: definitely some form of undead, once a person, long hair, cloak, wearing a rat neckless, Bulging eyes, flakey ass skin, red claws where nails were.       Killed monster and his gloulish thrall. Got 16gp each.           Faces new and old:   Met up with the pirate captain who raided the ship. He’s very chained up and very scared.   His name is Enshaa Bucca and he’s avoiding death by betraying his crew.   Couple of people on our caravan he actively stole from at some point.       He has a friend. Famora: he bebi. He’s an engineer who is repairing bridges along our travel route.       Group of four:   Matias and Daniela Caban: Married couple, one human (M) and one half elf (F). They are the benefactor of the convoy. They know we’ve been sent by the queen.   Historian: plain dude with thick glasses and goatee,   woman dressed in a load of fancy stuff       Group of five:   Byrod and Paelat Zardrin: two GAYASS hill dwarves, one in wheelchair, two traders who oft exchange with adventurers. Comes with adventurers and trades with the on the fly.   How they met: Paelat’s Grandma was an outcast. So she left. Paelat was gonna go back into the mountains and get revenge. Paelat didn’t know how to climb a mountain, fell and was stuck there for two days. He was rescued by Byrod and they took his merchant business on the road.   Cirthise Valisovar: elf abjurer in plain robes and wizard book, working on a theory… can’t tell us what it is though… he has a lot of respect for dragons, HE FUCKIN LOVES DRAGONS. They have a mysterious publisher who don’t want the word getting out.   Frasellope Blanka: human travelling musician, taught me the most important lesson in being a musician; never stumble after a first mistake.   Lachley Weston: edgy teifling with crossbow and short-sword. He is seen as added security. Has no chill.       Travel is 10 days, our first stop is Gygraw.       3 facts: Lycilan’s first long was a notorious flirt, there’s so many drugs in a fey wild wine that no mortal has made the full recipe, dragon population has gone down to 1/50th of its size from 3 centuries ago, up til one year ago there were 2 adult green dragons fighting over the wolfenwald woods. Their blood isn’t toxic, that was a lie from Ellawynd.       Dragons:   The Kult of 2. One of the recently died of old age.   Cirthise writes a lot about the lost history of dragons.       Nickton and Paelat:       THEY HAVE A WHOLESOME CONVERSATION ON WHAT LOVE IS MY HEART (also at that stage I stop prying and give them privacy).           Day 5, a stop along the road:       We have to stop at some point along the road so some guards can check up on us. There’s a Knight, a captain, a vice captain and a few scouts.   Tesse is hiding from them for some reason: nothing to read into there /s…   Francis sword has spidey sense. Tells him that something seems slightly off about this routine check.       “As long as I don’t show my face, none of them should be able to tell” The Knight. “Shit! Did I say that bad enough?” He grew up there. This guy is clearly lying through his teeth.   “Damn. Normally catch them here”: think of a very specific city watch Guardman, Human, Male, Bald, 3 rings in his left ear.       Made it to Gygraw: they’re cool with execution.   Pull into “the God’s doorstep”.
