Baanuu-Drazig

Baanuu-Drazig is a Dwarven Ghwaretz that is, surprisingly, named not for a Dwarf, but after a Rusc individual. Baanuu-Drazig is translated variously as Baanuu's Barracks/Hillfort, because the Dwarves did not have an exact word for a Monastery. Baanuu was a wizened master of Martial Arts, versed in magic and healing, who administered her and her students aid to the villages that lay down the valley from them.
When a band of the Dwarves, freshly displaced from Ghwaraf, arrived in the valley, they were welcomed by Baanuu, who offered them aid and shelter. They accepted and took to carving out defensive structures in and around the cliffs surrounding the monastery. Generations passed and Baanuu was long gone, but their school still taught the ways of healing and self-defence, now surrounded by the hollowed out cliffs, towers, walls and homes of a developing Dwarven Ghwaretz that came to bear her name in reverence to her wisdom and kindness.
It has developed a reputation as place to seek healing - particularly that of the spirit, as Baanuu is believed by many to be the original author of the much-translated Summus Maleficum and originator of the Curse Bearer method of monastic practice. To this day, her school still practices these precepts.
