The true power behind the throne of Iskandris, Theodora Iskandroi is ambitious senator from a long, and ancient venerated line of Iskandrian aristocracts, and some believe, the original ruling family of the city when it first obtained its independence from the Yulan-Tai. Theodora has used the office of the Consul to seize a good deal of power from the monarchy, particularly in the routine governance of important locations, and has established a small, if relatively efficient civil service.
