General Summary

Tauflin Seranis, Adrie Mercurybrook, and Brandon Beiro arrive in Saltmarsh on the Skylark. They meet Kothar, the star attraction at the Scale and Tail. Kothar rips apart a cockatrice. The next day, Tauflin searches records at the Notary, discovers his uncle really did possess the Haunted House. The Town Council authenticates his documents. He convinces companions to join him on expedition. Kothar is convinced by trainer Miles Pinter to join them.
