15th Session

General Summary

The party prepares to leave the less-than-friendly confines of Shining. Aster considers buying a mount, and pays a visit to John the tobacconist, and looks for opportunities to become his agent in Triboar, but ends up just buying samples to later sell. The road to Triboar is uneventful, though rainy (Brandon catches a cold). Triboar is a smaller, though more diverse town at the crossroads. The next morning, Adrie succeed in selling the giant snakeskin to a taxidermist, and discusses the local goings on. Aster wanders off to seek clues about the White Hand, and ends up finding Madam Eloise the palm reader. She seems to be aware of his past, and tells him that one hand is where he came from, and one is where he is going. Looking for work, Adrie and Aster stumble into the Triboar Trading Company, where they convince Rolf to hire them to do runs of tobacco, alcohol, tea and luxuries north up the Great Coastal Highway. They also learn that orc clans have apparently united to challenge the settlement achieved after the Goblin War a decade ago. They are besieging the town of Claymore, and making occasional raids against merchants on the Highway, though Rolf does not believe in their long-term potential to disrupt business. Finally, they set off for Waterdeep to get Lucius home, and to pick up their shipment, arriving there after two days of travel.
