Orcs Species in Geshkara | World Anvil

Orcs

Considered barbaric and uncilivised by the entirety of the human world, both the civilised world and the wild men, they are hardly welcome among anyone but their own. They were driven back to the far North long ago, and then again at the beginning of the Fifth Era. Remnants of these crusades can still be seen today in the various forts built in the Frostlands, which often play host to tribes of wild men or orcs. They now live in small tribes and clans raiding camps of wild men and small settlements along Trofiriya’s Northern border. They are strong and hardy, living in the cold and desolate North.   They are not militaristic, as that would imply organisation. Instead they live in wandering tribes, hunting and occasionally pillaging. Some consider them violent, evil creatures of endless bloodlust; others consider them little more than beasts of the earth, simply following their instincts. However, regardless of one’s position they pose a significant risk to the civilised peoples if left unchecked.   They have grey skin, flat noses, and pronounced jaws with large tusks and a significant underbite. Their greasy black hair is often kept in messy braids or locks if it is cared for or groomed at all.
