Lakrish

Lakrish (Ruwadhi: લક્રીશ [ləˈqɹiːʃ], Sardian: ལཁྲིཤ [lakʷ.ɾi.ça]) is a town in the state of Fard within the Somorican Empire. The town was founded by Nenians some time in the later first millennium CA around a tin mine, and was an important town within the Nenian state of Sardis, economically important both due to its tin exports and its location along the route between the city of Sardis and the important Davanian city of Ghagor. While the mine was active, the town also hosted a significant population of dwarves. The mine closed some time in the 12th century, and the town was largely abandoned. A Buri people pushed out of the Muroshcan Kingdom, who would go on to become the Ruwadhis, moved into the area and repopulated the town in the early 14th century.

CAMPAIGN IX INFORMATION

Population: approximately 2000 Nenians and 500 Dwarves

Ram’s Rest:Inn

A charming, quiet inn in a quiet town, made all the quieter by the lack of business from the blizzards on the road south. The centrepiece of the inn is a large taxidermy ram’s head with large, twisted horns hung above the hearth and an ornamental ram-dao hung right below it.

The Mooncarver:Tavern

The favourite drinking hall of everyone in Lakrish; also the only drinking hall. The tavern focuses mostly on serving various soups and stews made from deer, goats, and game animals, fish from the river, eggs, and a mountain flower honey mead the owner is quite proud of.

Mountain’s Bounty:Blacksmith

Being a mining town, Lakrish needs a good smith to keep their mining equipment in good repair. Though maybe not able to provide all the services adventures might want, it still can provide many indespensible goods and services.

Lakrish Tin Mine:Mine

The lifeblood of Lakrish, from which flows all its wealth. Currently closed due to strange reports an disappearances that have been happening recently. Though, even were the mine to reopen, the tin would pile up as caravans cannot pass the blizzard on the road south.
