Half Mustelins

Mustelins are one of the only races capable of breeding with humans. Such crosses are uncommon as mustelins tend to keep to their own, and humans mistrust them in kind. As such, as well because half mustelins are sterile and unable to carry a family line, half mustelins are rarely the result of devoted couples and raised in normal families, more often being the results of prostitution or one night trysts. The exact degree of mustelin versus human features varies, though as a general rule, the child looks generally more like the father. They can vary between anything from mustelin with more human proportions, to mixed between a human body with mustelin facial features, to human with claws and a tail
Half human they aren’t fully accepted in mustelin society and only those raised among a caravan are usually allowed into their culture, and half mustelin, they’re distrusted in human society like the mustelins. Combined with usually unideal upbrinings, half mustelins are often lost souls, eager to find anywhere to fit in. As such, they often find themselves part of gangs, religious orders, or other groups that can give them a sense of belonging. Their sterility, poor upbrining, and desire for connection also tends to see prostitution being a common profession for half mustelins.
