Witch

A witch is a title given to a nonmagical being that is trying to find ways to use magic or become magical. Being a witch is illegal as being one is one of the most dangerous things you can do. In order to deter and protect these individuals, it is considered a crime to be one. They are seen by many as crazy just people who want power or magic and are not able to cope with the reality of the real world and fail to understand or accept it. A nonmagical being trying to use magic is said to be impossible but witches refuse to accept this. They undergo strange procedures, experimentation, applying wild and unproven theories in order to make themselves magical. Some more extreme witches do these procedures and experiments on others as to not harm themselves on their quest for answers. However, the majority of witches feel that using their methods and technique on others instead of themselves is shameful to do this is the same as not willing to fully commit to what it means to be a witch, to pay the sacrifice of everything you are in order to gain magical understanding and magical ability. That is the path most witches prefer to take not out of morality but out of respect to their search for understanding. Taking the path of being a witch means almost certain death and misery and never even learning anything because it is such a dangerous undertaking those who walk it don't deserve to use their methods on others because others did not choose to do something so drastic only those with the hunger of ability and knowledge are ones that need to make that sacrifice. They often destroy their own bodies and minds in order to achieve their goal of being able to use magic and become a magical being. This is where the stereotypical image of a witch comes from. An insane, physically deformed, and ugly magic-user. Most witches have no allies or affiliation to anyone or any group they also have no enemies all they wish to do is crack the mystery of magic to learn why some creatures and species can use it and others can not. There are some witches that form groups known as covens. These types organize and pull their resources and magical knowledge to achieve a goal. There are a few witches that have found methods of using magic with minimal damage to their mind and body but such types of people are rare. The majority of witches destroy their bodies entirely or they go insane an insane witch is very unpredictable and dangerous. If you do find yourself coming in contact with them be cautious and creative anything less and you will surely perish or worse be used in their experimentation on their endless and impossible search for magic.
