Trayn Waywocket

Trayn Waywockt is a market predictor and the head of the Waywocket Family. He worked his whole life to become one. Unlike other gnomes who wanted to benefit from the market as a system by making a profitable business or build something new to improve life or to simply do something no one has before he simply had a love for numbers and analyzing how they fit together to create a system. His love for systems and trying to understand them naturally lead him to the biggest and most important system maybe ever constructed the market the perfect system the true one and only system. It was the only thing that he did not get first try the only thing that gave him a challenge he fell in love. It being impossible made him even more curious made him even more hungry to learn and understand. He wanted to know it all how it functioned why it functioned it was the core of their society everything revolved around it. everything about it made sense but was impossible to solve and if you could it would not be for long. He is a market predictor not for the money and admiration but for his endless curiosity to understand. If he ever did solve it would be the best and worst day of his life.
  • Race Gnome
  • Age 94
  • Personality There is nothing more important to him than the market the flow of the numbers the equations and how they affect everyone with everything they connect it all. Emotions are so undefinable incalculable they are frustrating and unfair the fact that emotions have nothing to do with the market is a reason to love it. It's all an ever-changing puzzle that makes him find comfort in it it's pure, fair, and understandable but also unsolvable. He has a distrust and dislike of emotions seeing them as unfair and superficial emotions are an unfair way to judge the world because emotions are subjective to the individual but logic is universal. If you use emotions you play with a set of metrics that only fully apply to you. Which makes them immoral to use as a means of measure or judgment. Trayn goes too far though and disregards emotions as entirely useless. He fails to see that emotions while flawed are inevitable unavoidable no matter how logical your world and society are. He denies this fact of reality which ironically is a very emotional reaction to have. He hides and escapes from emotions using the market which is a system of only logic. He lies to himself that there is a world that is absent of emotionality a better purer world. Tragically he will never do the logical thing and accept that emotions can never be fully removed from any reality.
