Sleighbeggy

Sleighbeggy is not a race of people any creature can be one. Many believe that when one is born it is entirely random.  A simple luck of the draw and no deeper meaning behind the reason why.  Others have dedicated their entire lives to the study of the Sleighbeggy to crack the code to figure out why they are born and to attempt to predict when the next will be born and for what grand purpose.  All these great schollers and philosophers have only come up empty.  It seems if it is not only chance then it can be at least concluded that it is determined by rules that we can not possibly comprehend or follow. It is said trying to understand the meaning of the Sleighbeggy is like trying to understand the reason for life itself.  Their existence is undoubtedly one of the world's greatest mysteries.  Although no one knows, many suggest that they are just a force of the world.  That they are born because the world needs them.  A force of nature that balances the world although some say it is the opposite. Some say that they are not meant to balance the world, but rather unbalance it.  They are incredibly rare and they are incredibly powerful.  Each Sleighbeggy has a power of world-shaping scale.  Unfortunately for them as well as those trying to study them they are not fully in control of this power.  If they desire something their power will seek a way to fulfill their desire.  This may sound wonderful for the Sleighbeggy.  If their power works in their interest without the need for their own input or effort how could that be bad.  Because their power works on its own it can have disastrous or even tragic effects for the Sleighbeggy.  As an example, let's say there is a Sleighbeggy with the power to control the weather.  This Sleighbeggy lives in a city far away from nature but they love looking at the natural world specifically water.  Now if this Sleighbeggy has a passing thought or desire to be able to see a beautiful lake closer to their home.  The next day they might look outside their window to see a massive crater filled with rainwater in the middle of their neighborhood destroying homes of people they know.  Their power if not controlled will seek a way to fulfill their desires no matter how trivial or fleeting.  This is dangerous as the Sleighbeggy will not be able to choose in what condition their desires will be fulfilled.  They hold immense power but it is a power not entirely of their control and can be as much a danger to them as it can be a help.  Because of their power, they are greatly desired to be used as weapons by any that want such an alliance.  By the powerful people of the world, they are seen more as a Powerful tool or weapon more than people.  By regular people, they are seen as an unpredictable force of nature that is dangerous to be involved with.  They will often go their lives hated, feared, and treated as a god.  Most Sleighbeggys are destined to live tragic lives.  It seems power is not what it has cracked up to be or at the very least has an equally terrible price.
