Warlock

Warlock is a term that is used to describe spellcasters that do not derive their magic from a dedicated study or an arcane lineage, nor a relationship with the natural or divine world. Instead, a warlock makes a pact with an otherworldly entity, such as a devil or a demon, a powerful archfey, or an unfathomable creature from outside reality. In exchange for a fragment of their power, the warlock makes a deal with such an entity, here referred to as their Patron, to enact their will on the prime material plane. And so a warlock acts as a conduit for the Patron's influence in the physical realm, showcasing uncanny abilities not seen anywhere else on the planet.
