Payment & Reimbursement
Those that take up a position within the now-ceremonial Corellguard receive a handsome pay for their cultural services and their constant travelling throughout the cities of the viscounty. This payment is several gold per week, much more than an average laborer or skilled hireling.

The Corellguard no longer serves a military purpose, it instead now serves as a showing of culture and a source of entertainment for the citizens of the Wildwood.
Demographics
The Corellguard is an entirely elven-populated profession, composed primarily of Wood Elves (68%), with a smaller population of High Elves (31%) and some amount of other Elven subraces (<1%).
History
In the early ages of Geloriel, when the lands were significantly more volatile, the Corellguard were the primary defense of the Viscounty of Thal Aelari against incursions into the Wildwood. They were trained in the arts of Bladesinging, and were the first to utilize the double-bladed scimitar that is characteristic of fighting styles of the wildwood elves. As ages past, the viscounty suffered fewer military conflicts, and so the need for a trained guard-force fell out of utility. But never one to abandon their rich culture, the elves continued to fund the Corellguard, though now as a ceremonial guard force rather than an actual trained militia. Now, they put on shows throughout the many cities of the viscounty, acting out their ancient formations as a show of culture instead of a force to be feared.

The standard garb of the Corellguard are delicate sleeveless robes in varying shades of golds, blues, and whites, as well as ornate golden jewlery such as bracers, necklaces, rings, and circlets. They also wield the double-bladed scimitar characteristic of elven cultural fighting styles.
