Tenets of Faith

Erathis commands her devoted followers with three of her many laws:
  • Work with others to achieve your goals. Community and order are always stronger than individuals.
  • Tame the wilderness to make it fit for habitation, and defend the light of civilization against darkness.
  • Seek out new ideas, inventions, lands and wilderness. Build machines, cities and empires.

Holidays

The Lawbearer’s Day is Civilization’s Dawn, and is celebrated on the twenty-second day of Harrowing, marking the anniversary of the Founding of the Trinity.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The Lawbearer is shown as a hooded, armored woman sitting atop a throne or a throne of pillars, her face obscured or expressionless. She is often depicted with light brown skin and a strong but lithe body. She is described as one of the two most dutiful and self-sacrificing of the Prime Deities, alongside Bahamut.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

She is married to Tyr, the former god of justice and mercy, who was imprisoned permanently by the Demon Princes Orcus, Demogorgon, and Rimmon. Since his imprisonment, she is said to be in a relationship with Pelor. She is allied with Moradin and Ioun. She is perhaps the only god on cordial terms with Asmodeus, King of the Nine Hells, as tyranny and dystopia are forms of civilization. Her antithesis is Melora, the unaligned goddess of wilderness, nature and the sea.
