Once known as Eldric the Wise, a revered scholar and mage, Eldric’s ambitions pushed him beyond the realm of morality in his quest for eternal life. Obsessed with unraveling the mysteries of immortality, he ventured into the darkest corners of magic and the arcane, scouring forgotten tomes and seeking out mythical beings to further his understanding. His pursuit led him to the legendary artifact, the Eternal Ember, which he believed could grant him eternal life.
However, the road to immortality was fraught with sacrifices. Eldric turned to necromancy, performing a forbidden ritual to bind his soul to an ancient phylactery when the quest for the Ember reached an impasse. Upon his transformation into a lich, his body decayed, but his mind remained sharper than ever—far more powerful, immortal, and twisted. Now, he resides within the hidden fortress of Everreach, cloaked by powerful magic to evade those seeking his secrets.
