Creation Story
In the vast expanse of nothingness before the inception of time as mortals comprehend it, the Creator reigned supreme, a being of unfathomable power and limitless imagination, embodying the essence of creation itself. As eons drifted by in the timeless void, the Creator grew weary of the monotonous stillness and sought to break free from its confines. With a mere thought, the Creator invoked the primordial energies of creation, initiating the grand symphony of existence.
From the formless void emerged the heavens—a vast tapestry of celestial bodies swirling in an eternal dance of light and darkness. Yet, the celestial realm alone could not quench the Creator's boundless creativity. Turning his focus to the boundless expanse below, the Creator breathed life into the soil, shaping it into continents, plains, and mountains, birthing Geldora—a world of unparalleled beauty and wonder.
With the foundation of Geldora laid before him, the Creator began to populate the land with flora and fauna, each species more wondrous than the last. Lush forests sprouted, rivers meandered, and mountains towered, while the fertile soil teemed with life. Yet, amidst the splendor of Geldora, a sense of solitude lingered, prompting the Creator to cast a veil of slumber over the land, allowing the world to dream beneath the celestial gaze.
As eons passed in the timeless slumber of the veil, the Creator stirred from his rest, his divine essence pulsing with newfound purpose. Gazing upon Geldora, the Creator felt a yearning for companionship and collaboration—a desire to share the wonder of creation with beings of his own making. With a gentle touch, the Creator summoned forth the raw energies of creation, fashioning twelve magnificent beings—the Primordials. Each Primordial embodied a fundamental aspect of the natural order, tasked with maintaining balance and harmony within the world.
Initially, the Primordials worked in harmony, shaping Geldora into a diverse tapestry of life and wonder. Positive and negative forces complemented each other, ensuring no aspect of the world became overly dominant. Majestic mountains, sweeping plains, and teeming oceans flourished under their guidance. But as time passed, tensions simmered between the Primordials, driven by jealousy and resentment. Conflicts erupted, shaking the foundations of Geldora as storms raged and landscapes changed.
Amidst the turmoil, the Primordials, seeking to gain an advantage in their battles, created the First Born—nascent gods imbued with unique domains and virtues. Each side attempted to sway these divine entities to their cause, leading to further strife and chaos across Geldora. Witnessing the devastation wrought by the unrelenting conflict, the Creator's heart filled with sorrow and resolve. With a wave of his hand, he intervened, casting the Primordials into the Vast Expanse—a realm beyond the reach of Geldora, where they would languish in eternal exile, their unchecked power and ambition sealed away. This marked the end of an era, a solemn reminder of the consequences of unchecked power and ambition.
Turning his gaze to the First Born, the Creator recognized that their power had also become too great, their ambitions too consuming. In an act of divine judgment, he offered them a chance at redemption, casting them out of the material plane and binding them to the Cosmic Wheel. Thus, the First Born ascended to become the First Gods of Geldora, tasked with guiding and shaping the mortal realm according to the laws of creation and destiny.
Now, the Creator directed his attention to the mortal races, knowing that true balance could only be achieved through the harmony of mortal life. He imposed limitations, decreeing that mortals would only be granted a fraction of the power of Arcana—the very force that had corrupted the Primordials. This safeguard aimed to prevent a recurrence of past mistakes and safeguard against the resurgence of darkness and chaos. Yet, in his wisdom, the Creator understood the importance of choice and free will. Granting the First Gods the ability to interact with mortal races from the Cosmic Wheel, he offered guidance and counsel. This gesture was not only a test of the gods' worthiness but also a gift to mortals—a chance to forge their own destinies, rise above adversity, and shape the world according to their desires. Thus, Geldora stood on the brink of a new era—a time of hope, possibility, and opportunity for both mortals and gods alike to prove themselves worthy of the Creator's trust and the blessings of a world reborn.
