Windblown Funeral Rites
Since their inception, members of The Windblown have always honored their fallen comrades with a ritual of recognition. Performing these rites is considered more sacred and necessary than any bodily recovery or burial.
History
Though the origins of the ritual are lost to time and tragedy, the specific rites spoken and material procedures have been sacredly codified since before the dominance of the Alerki Ascendency. It was during their rule that The Windblown solidifed these practices in dread secret. The Windblown had always paid homage to Xun, a god unwelcome among The Permitted. The practices survived through the Skintish War and have now sailed across The Vast to finally be practiced out in the open in Echwink's Landing.
