The Tyrants

Long ago, before the Age of the Crater, beyond the Unknown Era, past the meeting of Gnet and Gavros, Primordial Chaos reigned. Yet untouched by Conscioussness, the unknowable pure forms of the Raging Elements gorged through existence, devouring and birthing each other in an endless cycle of unbearable creation and orgasmic destruction. How or why Order came only Order knows, but Order did arrive, and in doing so birthed the inevitable tide of time and progress. Here, Primoridial Chaos was reined.   The weight of Order crushed the Raging Elements into form, containing their infinite possibilities within the prison of gravity. Here, Matter was born.   Order rested and let the universe grow however it did, knowing their work was forever done.   But then things that were grown stopped growing. Consciousness exploded from the universe like a pimple: the methematically inevitable red blemishes of growth that mar the surface of perfection. But without growth, there is no life. Matter, as The Conscious, for the first time ever, began to starve. For sustenance, the The Conscious began to destroy, consuming the growing to fill the void of their non-growth. This consumption carried with it a dark heresy: The Conscious are, and always will be, guilty of obliterating the wild existence of the imprisoned Primordial Chaos in an existential murder-suicide. Here, Entropy was born.   Thus, Order awoke. But not as they once were. In their slumber, Matter's inevitable prison had grown around them. Order awakening was too expansive to be contained as such, yet Order was not free from their own divine will. Matter imposed itself upon Order, forcing it to give form and law to itself. Order exploded into an infinite number of beings, the implosion of containment scattering these demigods across the cosmos. Though Order had returned, its weakened and disparate matter forms were wholly unequipped to battle Entropy's inevitable destruction, at least without aid from the only ones able to give it: The Conscious. Here, Irony was born.   Each world contains an aspect of Order, the Primoridial Gaolar of Existence and Tyrant of Form. In the Material Plane, these Avatars manfiest to eliminate any and all threats to the Order of Matter. These demigods walk the earth to do battle the the Agents of Entropy to protect the natural aspects of their world and Order. It is necessity that brings forth these monsters to exact a violent toll against the Agents of Entropy. Here, the Tyrants were born.   In some of these wars Order triumphs, defeating the Agents of Entropy, ending the Plague of Consciousness, and reestablishing the Universal Growth. On others, Order falls to the machinations of the Agents and the world is obliterated by Entropy. In one of these lost wars, the Agents of Entropy found a way to imprison the Tyrant of their world rather than defeating them. The Agents discovered how to harness the power of Antimatter, created when the Primordial Chaos within manages that one-in-a-kazillion chance of turning Order's will inside out and turning the prison into one of mocking heresy. The Agents collected Antimatter on a plane of Darkness and Shadow, the Ashes of Entropy, and lured their Tyrant into the mire.   Antimatter raged against the Tyrant in a constant wave of impassioned violence. Their Antiforms smashed against the Tyrant and put him in a constant state of desperate and delirious defense. The Tyrant's world fell to Entropy as they were imprisoned in a cage of Eternal Vengeance. Soon, this dark knowledge spread, and more Tyrants were lured into the prison as more worlds fell to Entropy. This new weapon would help Entropy inch ever closer to undoing the Crime of Matter.   Occassionally, Consciousness, in its bumbling infection, would find this plane and this prison. For whatever reason, the presence of the Conscious cowed the Antimatter, calming its attacks long enough for one desperate play: to cling to this Conscious Matter, to fuse with it, to hide within it. This window of Consciousness allowed the Tyrant to once again access to the Order of Matter and serve to defend and protect the natural Order, wherever it may be found.
