Arboreal Security Service

The Arboreal Security Service, based in New Carydam, are an armed collective dedicated to eco-justice.
While the composition of the collective fluctuates from time to time, the core members are generally understood to be:

• Treefallen, a devotee (some would say zealot) of Carida
• Kavra Aletide, of Cranky Foamer, who swashes and buckles
• Sir Courtois des Lapins, a knight from a distant plane
• Harriet, that knight's companion and chronicler
• Haemic of the Black Gristle, born of hag and bone, dedicated to protecting the collective
• Col. Pridbor Fleurine IV, a noble hunter

Structure

The collective itself is a loose structure, with members taking responsibilities according to their skillsets and interests. Leadership, such as it is, is shared among the Arbos currently undertaking the most critical eco-justice initiative identified by the group.

Culture

While not overtly fond of violence, many of the Tree Cops understand armed conflict as a necessary part of collective struggle and don't shy away from a fight.

Colloquially, members of the collective refer to themselves as Arbos.

Public Agenda

Although the name would suggest a strongly arboreal bent to their interests, A.S.S. is invested in pursuing eco-justice no matter the particular biomes or ecosystem.

History

A.S.S. coalesced as the core members of the collective undertook a mission to source a new supply of dryadleaf for Grumble's Munch & Meow (see Tree Cops: Plant Logistics). During that endeavor, the Arbos came to the realization that the ecosystems surrounding New Carydam--and the resources contained in those ecosystems--did not have an organization dedicated to their balance and protection. With that, the Arboreal Security Service came to be.
