Anatraxan Brethren
Public Agenda
Outside of their devotion to Anatraxus, the Brethren do robust trade in secrets and knowledge.
Divine Origins
Soon after Anatraxus attained his majority and started to compile his archive of secrets and knowledge, he gained his first followers. These followers, dedicated to the acquisition of hidden arcana and esoteric ritual, soon became the Anatraxan Brethren.
Tenets of Faith
Anatraxan Brethren hold the following core beliefs:
- To acquire knowledge and secrets is to make manifest the wishes of Anatraxus
- All goats, anywhere, are the avatars of Anaxtraxus and are sacred. Anatraxus sees the world through his goats.
- All goats--and select worthy Brethren--are connected by a shared consciousness.
Priesthood
Members of the Anatraxan Brethren devote themselves to the collection of secret knowledge and information. If they prove themselves worthy, they are given Anatraxus' favor and become his Chosen, and serve as his representatives within the Brethren to guide and shape its objectives.
Political Influence & Intrigue
The Anatraxan Brethren enjoy significant influence throughout the city of Myrgraf, but especially in Goatknob. Part of this is due to Anatraxus' relationship to Khuldrossa, the Goddess of Wanton Chaos, but part of this is also due to the Brethren's status as premier information brokers with no particular faction loyality.
