Pure Celestials Species in Gates of Eternity | World Anvil

Pure Celestials

The so called Pure Celestials are one of the rarest sapient species, with no more than seven of them confirmed in history. Pure celestials are born from the Pure Angels, angels that defected from Shimmer and joined the Divine Host of Inri.   They abandon their former forms (bearing taint of God different than Inri) and ascend into a much more transcendental form of pure, concentrated goodness. It is very unlikely that the proccess leading ot the creation of pure celestial is in any way physical, but it most likely exploits the common belief in angels being source of celestials to create them.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Typical humanoids with two hands, two legs and a head. Tend to be tall and beautiful. Possess an inborn talent for Holy Magic of Inri (and Miracles, if applicable - and a rather significant ones, on the level of being able to easily match up to archmagicians.

Biological Traits

Their halo manifests as a glowing golden circle floating above their head. It is unmatched in terms of pure magical power and can also easily serve as to cast Miracles. Fully manifested halo causes devastating damage to nearby eldritch-nature daemons and can instantly banish Aberrants. What's more, it also bolsters strength, replenishes stamina and soothes pain to all people of good character. There are also - as in case of all celestial halos - other options, manifesting in the form of unique spells available to them when manifesting their halos (the one mentioned earlier is common, however).
