Mental characteristics

Personal history

Draxaria was born as a sole child of a pair of high dragons from city of Draana on isle of Kharhil. Her family was considered one of the lowest standing among members of her specie, barely even considered a high dragon. With her parents both being high dragons, Draxaria being born as one wasn't taken for granted.   When she failed to polymoprh into her human form before her twenty birthday, she was deemed to be an inferior dragon, and - according to ancient customs of her people - sacrificed to their gods. She - in her dragon form - had her throat slit atop an alter... and was left to bleed out.   But, something different happened. Noone knows what exactly happened that fateful night, but when next day her parents returned to the altar, rather than dead body of the dragon, they found a young, redheaded girl, sleeping soundly... with a strange axe made of high dragon bone and scale lying beside her.   The girl - named Draxaria - soon proved to be of extremely pure high dragon blood, quickly surpassing her parents intelectually and physically. She also seemed to have a preternatural interests - and talent - in combat and strategy, quickly taking over her city from her parents' hands and launching first of her long series of conquests.   In 214 year PIE - when she was 50 years old - she succeeded in first of her goals, finally uniting Isle of Kharhil under her banner. This wasn't an end of her story, as she soon launched an invasion on isle of Tharhil, populated by black drakons that served yet another group of high dragons.   This new target too, proves insufficient, and in 227 year the last cities on Tharhil fell before her. Her warriors, who hated inhabitants of Tharhil for very long time, demanded allowing them to plunder and raze everything on their isle as a right of conquest. She refused, and informed, that every person who disagrees is free to duel her. Noone had that courage, since her combat prowess - and bloodlust - was already well known. She wasn't interested in sating ages long hatred, because for her population of Tharhil was already an important asset in further conquests.   For the first time ever both groups of drakons were to march alongside eachother, as Draxaria marched for yet another war. Or, to be exact, wars. Three Dragon Wars occured, each with her on the forefront of dragarian army. Three times she launched invasions of elven north-western Karathia, finally succeeding in conquering isles of Rathia and Rynneria while facing not only this two states, but also might elven kingdoms of Alvaena and Vanorlan.   She finally succumbed to her wounds following personal duel with sorcerer-king Rankor Sabretooth (a duel that she won, dying undefeated). Exact location of her grave are unknown to general population, her tomb well hidden by her heir on an Isle of Khavir, far north of Scavian Peninsula.

Sexuality

Her need for domination fostered by Skullsplitter included her sexuality. Fathers of her children were all defeated and enslaved warlords that somehow catched her attention when she fought them.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Her greatest achievement was succesful creation of united Kingdom of Dragaria, an achievement that not only outlasted her, but also ultimately gave her godhood, making her a demigod of war and slaughter, serving beneath similarly themed imperial god Rage.

Mental Trauma

She was, in fact, partially possessed by a deity her family worshipped. For healing her wounds and allowing her to polymorph into human form, he fostered her need for conquest, domination and war and changed her into warlord. All of that to spread his name, granting him great power (while ultimately failing, as people remembered and venerated her rather than him).   Her bloodthirstness was unnatural, just as a need for domination that bordered with sadism.

Intellectual Characteristics

While lacking wisdom due to lack of education, she was also extremely intelligent (with help of the deity that possessed her), not to mention being one of the most capable commanders to ever set foot on karathian soil. Also cunning, but honourable.

Morality & Philosophy

Relatively typical for average preimperial barbarian warlord. Complete lack of regard for lifes of the mortal, not to mention complete acceptance of slavery. On the other hand, also certain honour, albeit not one Ember, imperial god of honour would accept. As rather than protecting the weak, she just considered them a target that brought no glory nor fame for their vanquisher.   She had no moral qualms about pillaging, as that was considered a right of conquest. Unlike exterminating the conquered simply for joy. Which was actually making her a bit above typical warlord of her time in ethics department, and was the reason why black drakons ultimately accepted her as their queen.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Need for conquest and domination over everything, caused mainly by the effects of Skullsplitter, her favourite battle axe.

Social

Family Ties

Mother of a dozen high dragons, suggesting surprisingly high fertility (or very active sex life) for a high dragon. Her heir was her eldest son, Drarek the Incinerator.

Religious Views

Worshipper of old dragarian gods, tended to sacrifice deserters and traitors for them in rather... excessively gore'y rituals. Later on became one of them, finally ending as a demigod vassal of Rage, imperial god of war and slaughter.

Wealth & Financial state

According to customs of her people she practically possessed everything in her kingdom, including her subjects. Even speaking more practically she lived her life luxuriously surrounded by great numbers of riches she plundered.   She, of course, died, losing most of it. However, also according to the custom of her people, she was entombed with lots of riches, including at least one artifact - her favourite axe, Skullsplitter. With her tomb never located, they are still there somewhere, guarded by spirits of workers murdered to hide the secret of tombs' location and variety of traps.
