Skjörn (SKYURN)
Divine Domains
Maiden of Deception
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The Beguiler
Unlike her 'uncles', Fámnír, Pansír, and Hvalðnír, Skjörn does have the ability to take physical form, and since Ísje's binding at the end of The Godswar, has been compelled by the Ice Queen to do so permanently. Even so, she is a master of illusion, able to take on whatever form she determines her prey will find most desirable.
Personality Characteristics
Likes & Dislikes
Rivals to a Cold Mother
Skjörn dislikes that she is powerless over females, but what she well and truly hates, is her 'young sister', the Gáníswyrm Ræsje Esmaðír. Since the latter's relatively recent appearance, the two have formed an intense rivalry and mutual hatred, with Skjörn resenting the freedom Ísje permits Ræsje, constantly reminding the young Gáníswyrm of her diminishing, and Ræsje deriding Skjörn as a 'flesh-bound godling'.
Social
Family Ties
Skjörn can be considered the 'daughter' of Ísje, Ice Queen of the Únðárín, having been brought into existence by the express desire and design of the latter.
Mannerisms
As part of her mastery of illusion, Skjörn will assume a shape that she perceives will be seen as the most attractive form possible to male Wylden captives, seducing them, and bending them to her mother's will. Though the Ice Queen never allows her daughter to wander far, Ístrúlen (Ice Trolls) raids will on occasion return with captives for Skjörn's pleasure, and she revels in the control she exerts over these victims, breaking their will and turning them into willing servants for her mother's schemes.
