Ritar Ayim
Ritar is a Khurvan, a race of new-folk who live in and along the Yellow River Canyon in the northern desert of Taebur. She was found as a toddler just outside of Zal by her adoptive father, Nimat Ayim. According to Nimat, she was just lying amongst the dirt and rocks. Nimat took her in and raised her as a member of the Coop.
It is very unusual for Khurvan to abandon their children. It is also extremely unusual for any Khurvan to be as far south as Zal, and no one who was in Zal at the time remembered seeing any Khurvan. As such, it is a complete mystery how she got there, and something she would love to know the answer to one day. She knows little of her own people, and very few known any more than she does. It is commonly believed, however, that if her people were to learn that she has been raised by outsiders, they would be highly offended and would seek to kill Nimat and the rest of the Coop. How true this is, is a matter of some debate.

Body Features
Despite being six and a half feet tall, Ritar is apparently short for a Khurvan. It is said that most Khurvan are between 7 and 8 feet tall.
Ritar is slim with long, bony arms and legs. She has chameleon-like powers that cause her skin to adjust to her surroundings. If she is staying still or only moving slowly, her skin will gradually change colour to blend in. This process takes about a minute. Her skin ranges between various combinations of beige, yellow, and brown. Regardless of main skin colour, it is always marked with an intricate pattern of stripes that widen and thin as they wrap around her the back of her body and come to points on her front. These stipes also adjust their colour to her surroundings, shifting between shades of blue and green. Her eyes are always yellow with an almost serpentine aspect to them.
She keeps her long hair braided, but that is in the style of many other women in the Coop. She has no idea what the hairstyles of her native people are like.
Specialized Equipment
Being so tall and thin, it can be difficult for Ritar to find clothes that fit her. She has to rely on having clothing specially made. Her clothes are generally in shades that will help her blend in to her surroundings and not negate her natural chameleon-like abilities, though this isn't always possible.
When she's in the wilderness away from towns, she prefers to wear minimal clothing so she doesn't have to worry about it negating her own abilities. She has also heard that her native people where little to no clothing for the same reasons. In truth, she only wears clothes around others for proprietal reasons.
