Ark

Although not common in this part of the world, Arks are still well-known. Few people in Taebur haven't heard of the mutant dog humanoids who now seek the destruction of all humanity.
Having heard of them, however, does not mean knowing much about them. Due to their rarity, most people know very few specifics about them, knowing only stories that vary widely with the telling. Many of the stories say arks have powerful weather manipulation and telekinetic abilities, and that they suck the life force out of creatures around them without even needing to touch their targets. Most people assume the stories wildly exaggerate these powers, of course. In all likelihood, they're not as frighteningly powerful in reality.
