It’s official. Isran’s an asshole. I knew the guy was a hardass but seriously, he could’ve warned me that the people he sent me to find were less than pleased with him. The good news was they knew the threat vamps posed and changed their tune the moment I brought them up.   Sorine was a bit of a hardcase, but tracking her down was easy enough, thankfully. Although I could have done without the mudcrabs. I hate those things. A few years back one had grabbed me by the tail while I was bathing by the river. It was not something I wanted to repeat. But now that I had tracked down some backup it was time to report back to Isran and learn what needed to be done next.   What I didn’t expect was to find Serana waiting for me when I got back to Fort Dawnguard. Even more surprising was that Isran didn’t lob her head off on sight. Old man must be getting soft.   Serana explained her father was on a mission to put out the sun. It sounded ridiculous but I have already seen things that defied explanation. Plus if there was any part of that plan that did work, we were all in trouble. After seeing what vamps were capable of, I couldn’t turn away. How was I supposed to become rich if the vampires are taking over the world?   Isran was just as hardheaded as I expected but he decided to let me investigate it at least. He definitely thinks we’re going to fuck up and something tells me I won’t get a pat on the back when I prove him wrong. Anyway, we weren’t proving anything without a moth priest to help us read the scroll, and it just so happened one was visiting Skyrim. We just had to track him down.   Something about this just felt…wrong. A moth priest just happened to be in Skyrim now of all times? This, the psijic order, the visions with the dragon, I was never one to believe in divine providence but it was starting to feel like it.   Why couldn’t my destiny be to live a boring life with a boring family in the middle of nowhere?   Well, Serana recommended we go to the College of Winterhold to ask about the moth priest. I didn’t have a better idea, but first, I wanted to go to Whiterun. I needed to turn in the stupid dragonstone and do that job for Maven. Plus, I still had books to gather and return.
