Nysu (Neh-sue)

Nysu is a legendary ore. Bright lavender in color, it was not usually shaped or polished, but left rigid and pure. The only whereabouts of the rock had long been forgotten. The last known holder of nysu was Atria Annysu, the sister of Ulric Annysu. Her bangle had a small nugget of nysu embedded in it. It was buried with her.

History & Usage

Cultural Significance and Usage

Nysu was known as the pinnacle of royalty. Like in Laend, purple is associated with royalty so, when the ore was discovered, it was naturally named for the Annysu line. The Abassy clan was known to weave the color into most of their outfits and whenever Nysu became available, they'd add just a touch to a small bauble.
Attria Annysu, sister of Ulric and Marcellus, was the only member of the family to have more than two pieces. Her most well-known piece was her bangle, which she wore every day.

Refinement

Very little was to be done with Nysu. It was so rare that when it was found, it was usually crafted using its purest form.
