Senatoc

Senatoc is a totally independent city state that exists within the center of the Katawani Desert. Originally built some time during the Age of Mortals, it was lost after the First Cataclysm and wasn't rebuilt until the 2200s P.C. For some obscure reason, magic flows through the city freely, and is said to have been even before the Age of Restoration. Rumors abound about the city, such as even the common guards knowing how to cast spells. Though this makes it beyond attractive for anyone who wishes to understand magic, Senatoc is so far out of the way that only a few travel to and from the fabled city. Reaching it requires travelling two hundred or more miles over the hostile desert, and even having a guide does not guarantee you will arrive safely.
