Almarid

The city of Almarid is the capital and birthplace of the Almaridian Empire located in the region of Durchen. Founded sometime after the Second Cataclysm, it was originally a small village that was mostly known as a stopping point between the regions of Aestrum and territories further east, such as Zelyr. It rose to fame when its governor rebelled during the collapse of the Virdamidian Republic, which lead to the establishment of the Kingdom of Durchen, and later the Almaridian Empire.
