The Golden Saint

The Jīn Dharma, sometimes called The Golden Saint, is the Patron Saint of Virtue. She is revered by warriors, monks and scholars alike, and is said to be the first person to practice the Tianshan art of 'Spiritual Cultivation.' 
It is a story of righteousness in a time of wickedness. By living a virtuous life, and training with diligence and patience, she was able to cultivate her magic and spirit into an indomitable force.

Despite being closely connected to Tianshan culture, the Jīn Dharma has found adherents across the breadth of Galadria. By openly bearing her symbol - the lotus flower - a person expresses to the world that they hold themselves to a high standard of moral virtue. Such people often enjoy a certain level of implicit trust from the public. For those who abuse that trust, however, the consequences can be very steep. Many nations have enhanced penalties for such 'paper flowers,' but the true risk comes from the Resplendent Garden, an order of monks dedicated to preserving the legacy and teachings of the Jīn Dharma.

The sun gives freely
to the flower
feasted upon by the caterpillar
carried away by the bird
struck down by the fox
cornered by the wolf
consumed by the bear
that becomes soil for the flower.
The heavens cannot be touched
by hands sullied with mud.
The void cannot be bridged
by power alone.
Only the righteous beacon
who gives freely
and nurtures the world
can sit among the clouds.
