S20 1142 GDC, Dilya, the 3rd day of Maiele - Ancient Temple - Part 2 Report

General Summary

This terrible creature fought from the ceiling of the chamber, lashing out at the heroes with blasts of necrotic energy. At one point Raven went unconscious with the rest of the party in a desperate battle to revive and subdue the creature. The defeat of the creature unlocked the magical energy stored within the coffin and in turn unlocked one part of the lock to the central door. A similar battle took place in the north chamber leaving only Tamanelz slightly debilitated from necrosis. After unlocking the magic and the second lock system on the central door, the party rested and prepared for the coffin in the main chamber. What the party uncovered was gruesome to say the least, a corpse ravaged with the same parasites that sparked this adventure laid inside.
