Hu Tang

The Fifthteenth and Current High Councilor of the Terran Federation, Hu Tang Distinguished himself as the First Military Commissioner of New Olympus and Mars colony from the Sword Expedition's landing in 2756 until his retirement from the post to run in the National Elections of 2790, currently he is the mastermind behind the New Jamestown Expedition, having planned and authorized the entire affair.

History

Early Life

Hu Tang was born 2723 to his Mother Hu Jing and Father Hu Xiang, in the Shanghai Commandery of the Greater East Asian State within the Terran Federation, growing up, Hu Tang was a quiet and well behaved, living a strict disciplined life under the military state of the GEAS, attending preliminary schooling when he was 5 and enter the Beginners Military Academy of Shanghai when he turned 14.

After entering the Beginners Military Academy of Shanghai, Hu Tang would distinguish himself as a rigorous and focused student, earning top marks on all courses he partook in at the Academy, and would partake in several wargames at the academy, distinguishing himself as a capable and strict commander of men and women during these games, with the downside of developing a habit as seeing men and women as numbers on paper and pieces on a board.

By the time he graduated from the Beginners Academy at the age of 18, Hu Tang was top of his class and would receive the honor of being allowed to take the entrance exams for the most prestigious academy on all of Earth, the London Naval Academy. Hu Tang would pass the exam with perfect marks, and be accepted into the Academy

During his time in the London Naval Academy, Hu Tang once again distinguished himself, being the top of his classes for his 6 years stay at the Academy, successfully besting his own teachers at simulated war games and even getting to meet then High Councilor Mira Hawkings, being granted a military academy commendation for his excellence at the graduation ceremony being the single top student in not just the London academy, but the best preforming student in the entire Terran Federation.

Military Service

At the age of 24, in the year of 2748, Hu Tang was given command of the Naval Expedition Ship Lewis and Clark, and assigned to scout out the ruins of the Mars colony of the UN for signs of human life and valuable locations for the impending Sword Expedition, after 6 years of scouting out the Planet Mars and the Moons of Phobos and Deimos, the Lewis and Clark returned to Earth with all information and Data relevant to the expedition, and it was there that High CouncilorMira Hawkings promoted Hu Tang to the position of Admiral, the youngest in Terran History, and gave him command of the coming Sword Expedition.

Made the Youngest Admiral at 30, Hu Tang would spend the next 5 years preparing the Sword Expedition, planning out landing zones, phases of reclamation, where to rebuild and where to leave ruins alone for some time, and by the year of 2759, the Sword Expedition under the command of Hu Tang left Earth, and arrived above the world of Mars and the Moons of Phobos and Deimos, properly beginning the Sword Expedition.

For the Next year he established bases and small colony sites across the moons, reclaiming mines and sites of transportation, including the main Starports on Phobos and Deimos, and by 2760 he had landed forces upon the Colony of New Olympus on Mars, establishing a forward base and beginning the reconstruction of the Entire Colony. He would transform New Olympus as the central headquarters for the expedition and resettlement program.

For 28 years Hu Tang served as the Military Commissioner of Mars and her moons, known as the Martian Military Commision, leading the reconstruction effort of their capital colonies, reclaiming mines, ship construction yards, transportation hubs, and other such pieces of infrastructure. by the end of his governorship, Hu Tang had successfully grown the population of his Military Commission to 1.6 million, the majority living in New Olympus and the rest shared between the two Moons of Mars.

High Councilor

In 2789, Hu Tang resigned his commission and announced his intent to run for the post of Commissar General in the impending 2789 elections, he easily won one of the Seats held by Mars in the Federal Council and was chosen as High Councilor by the Federal Council in a confirmation vote of 237-11, ascending to the post. During the Electoral campaign, Hu Tang Ran off a platform of rapid expansion of existing bases on the other planets of the Solar System and the single most ambitious project in the history of the Federation, an expedition to New Jamestown in the Alpha Centauri System, to establish a federation presence on the planet and reunite with any remnants of human civilization upon the world. Seven months later the Zheng He prepares to depart for distant worlds, and all mankind waits for what is to come.
