Nuke Snuffers are a form of [ECM] that was developed way back when humans first began exploring the reaches of space. With practically everyone having access to the materials to produce powerful nuclear weapons and no governing force big enough to control their distribution, scientists around the world developed a piece of equipment that would produce a field around it which completely nullifies nuclear detonations; turning all nuclear bombs into duds.
