The Blight

The Blight begins, the blight is a war waged by the Seventh Altar, led by the seven margraves. The caused sickness, disease and raised an army of undead to attack all the nations around the Akani Sea.

Within the depths of winter five great nations including the Gellion Empire were attacked simultaneously. Many of their dead were risen to attack and more undead marched onto the shores of the nations from the Akani sea. Soon plague swept through the lands killing thousands. The Cult of the Seventh altar declared war upon all who bordered the Akani sea. They claimed all the land as their right to own. The seven margraves were all litches who had been around for hundreds of years, before the nations were born. For the first and only time sense all the nations banded together to battle the seventh altar. The war lasted for over forty years, eventually all the margraves were hunted down and slain. During the war and after it all the nations learned to burn their dead so as to never allow an army of the dead to rise again. They all signed the ebony pact, the pact basically states that necromancy is forbidden among all the nations, and any who practice it should be slain.
