Extinction

Long before the empire was born there were many waring Kingdoms where the nation of Gellion currently stands. Among these squabbling nations lay one kingdom that stood out from the rest. It's king held much more land and strength than the rest for their king rode upon the back of a mighty dragon, it's scales the color of blood. The name of this kingdom and its king have long sense been forgotten, all that is remembered is its story. This great kingdom united all the others under its banner with the promise of war, land, wealth and glory. They united to wipe out the Malnorins, a race of draconian people who shared their lands. The humans dabbled in necromancy and infected the malnorins with plague as well as with their armies and dragon fire. Their cities, their villages, and their homes all fell, the only structures that remine to remind those of what they once were are their monasteries. The humans ensured to starve out any who sought refuge within the great structures, but the humans could not bring themselves to destroy such buildings of immense artisanship and splendor, so they were spared. After the war He built a legendary keep with a throne forged of his dragon's fire. This keep would eventually become the seat of power for the Gellion Empire.
