Isar's Teachings

Isar: Isar teaches that starlight is part of her essence and that she has blessed her chosen to use it wisely. She blessed her chosen people with intelligence separating them from the wyvern species. She teaches of the purity of snow and winter, and the wisdom of the stars.

The Gods description

Isar is described to be made up of a constellation of stars and gas, flying through the night sky. She is in the shape of a wyvern.

Daily life

Every late evening they will rise and meditate within their celestial room. A domed room with Istarrium glass, this concentrates starlight and funnels it into them as they meditate, filling their starlight reserves. The room is filled with starian flowers growing from starlight, along the walls of the room. The walls of the room are made from pure istarrium metal. In the center of the room is their perch hanging high above the ground.
Near the end of the night they are to study the words of the stars. Their scripture is written among the stars themselves, each constellation, has a meaning and tells of the teachings, parables, and more of Isar. They are to use starlight to enhance their vision and study the night sky before sleeping.
Once a month upon istaridia the day the stars are brightest. They are to write upon their mural of istarrium glass and move the stars within them. To do this they infuse it with starlight. They will write their own constellation. Before doing this they meditate and pray, once finished it depicts what they feel they must improve on most upon themselves for the new month. Sometimes these can catch glimpses into the future. These can also depict things they should learn or do for the next month.
Upon the day of Istaridia they will fly to one of their temples and attend the gathering. The gathering is a ceremony where they listen to the priest's teachings. Before going they wash themselves in snow. Once the ceremony is finished they are given Sivarium tokens. These metal jewels, carvings, coins, and more are called tokens and are made from a metal that is an alloy mix of silver and istarrium. They place these within their hoards, they are the most valued treasures within them, and are sacred objects.
On Istaridia in the middle of the night they will take flight and dance within the sky. This is a sacred ritual full of energy and fun. They dance using starlight to increase their speed and making themselves glow, creating quite the spectacle. Mates will dance with each other to reinforce their bond, this ritual is also used by singles to find their mates.
