The child 6: Giants of the past

General Summary

Finaly Tenes has tracked and found the rest of the party again to meet up with them. The session started as the party was infront of the giants castle they had found. The whole castle had 2 layers of walls and a donjon, and somewhere in there the party had to find the anchor stone as the last piece to learn the illusion rune to hide themselves form the gods. The party entered by a crumbled hole in the walls, they dodged a griffin building a nest and went into the castle. They found the signs of strugge as the bones of Dragon and Giant alike littered the floor and signs of struggle were clearly seen. The party managed to push open the massive stone door to the second layer after disabling the weight runes that were written on it. The party went up stairs and found the Great hall and the throne of the castle. in the middle of the hall there were the bones of a ancient dragon with a giant sized greatsword embedded into the ground through it. On the throne there were the bones of a giant with a crown embedded into it's skull. When Gebo took a toebone from the giant skeleton a skeleton visage of the cloud giant he once was awakened. and the king spoke with the party. the creature had been here for hundreds of years and over that time it's mind had become corrupted to want nothing but to kill Dragons to wipe them all out for what they did to hilmiria. Aksil made a deal with the giant so that the giant could leave this place in a form so that it's goal of dragon killing was closer. The giant inhabited it's old sword the grarbroki (meaning grey breaker). The party found the entrance and started to move up the donjon stairs. On the second to last room the party triggered a trap that caused the giant slowfoot to be aware of their presence. The giant went to look, the giant completely hunched over, thin to the bone and covered in runes approached the party and thought them to be spies of the dragons. he thoughts that the siege of the dragons was astill going on even after hundreds of years because of it's delusion. After the party acted hostile it retreated into it's top chamber where it stayed. in there there were food scraps the giant didn't clean up, all kinds of maps and written strategies the giant made in it's delusion and things for rune making on all surfaces including skin. The party faught the giant that was prepared for these kinds of scenarios. the giant however was beaten close to death and used a teleportation rune to teleport out of there. However the party had also been tracked and found by powerfull agents of The Titans. The party fought Diores, Rhode and the paladin. the fight caused the near death of salrora who tried to hold the enemies off by talking to them while out of sight some other members together with Kynna and ourus escaped out the window slits using rope to go down the building. after kynna and ourus, aksil escaped landing with them on the roof of the castle. tenes before aksil instead went 1 floor of the donjon down where he found diores hanging back in the fight as a ranged character. Suprisingly Diores let tenes go because he sees potential in his skill and is sad he didn't join him as a agent of the gods. he also admitted to being involved with the murder of tenes his parents knwoing tenes couldn't do anything. Tenes ran out of the castle as fast as he could. From this point Salrora was knocked unconcious after incuring the wrath of rhode telling her that Izzu left. Salrora was being dragged away by the enemy as kipe rushed towards them and after quickly healing her teleported further in the same direction behind the enemy. Salrora managed to run away and jump out the window landing without damage using harden as a monk. Kipe managed to also dash out the window and land using a teleport to break his fall. Lastly Gebo who managed to escape the party a bit by a air burst jump had now run out of spell energy and even overexerted herself. Gebo while the others were trying to catch kipe and salrora after kipes amazing move was looking at the anchor stone for the illusion rune. After looking at it for a bit he hoped that he finaly understood enough about the rune. Gebo made a run for the window too and grabbed the rope that had been anchored to the wall using her staff. as she was about to jump out of the window Rhode got just close enough to make a single attack using her channel divinity from Lapetus. This caused ghost weapons to appear and strike at Gebo. Gebo fell unconcious and fell out of the window, after breaking the rope as the last of the party her unconcious body landed and was healed by the party. Gebo was unconcious for the first couple hours of moving as she had overexerted her magic. The party managed to escape and is on the rune again but this time gebo has all the information needed to after some experimentation be able to replicated the illusion rune.
