Heretics resistance 5: Proven strength
General Summary
At the start of the session the party arrives back at the gates of Bersail again.
However in the couple days that the party was gone from the city, many of the captured heretics had been executed and the city had tightened its security, with the gates being searched and the party being a suspicious looking group, they decide to try and sneak past somehow instead.
The party manages to sneak past the gate by using the sneak blessing they got from the spirits they met during their travel a couple sessions back.
Once in the city, Ilhelm says goodbye from the party but tells them that they can still find him in the city if they ever need him, he will be in the lower parts of the city helping people like he hoped he could do with the Angel's faith.
Edwen the servant leads the party all the way up to the manor of the Ethain family at the townhall on the closed off island. There the party meets with the leader of the Ethain family: Dagnia Ethain.
After the brief talk the party had in the prison with this women, she decided to follow up.
Dagnia offers the party a deal to work for her, since their goals align of wanting to get the witchhunters out of this city. They would be paid and provided benefits by Dagnia but of course all in secret since open opposition to the witchhunters means death for Dagnia and the whole family.
The party would accept but first Dagnia wants the party to prove themselves. For that she calls in her guard captain: Sir Trevor. The party is taken to a training room where they they hold a 1 on 3 duel with Sir Trevor. A duel the party manages to win eventually after creatively beating the experienced knight.
After this the party was admitted to the deal and Dagnia awarded them with a house where they can stay and wait for orders and make sure that nobody can easily track the relation between them.
Dagnia also gives Edwen with the party as a servant and a messanger for the missions.
The session ends as the party is awarded their new house.
