Hag

Hags are another type of fey that is recognizable as a distinct type, as fey they are actually quite unique. The hags are magical creatures like many other fey, but quite unique compared to other magical creatures, hags are spirits of collection, magic and secrets, this drives them to collect. hags as creatures also tend to manipulate people to do their bidding, making deals but then breaking them to their whim. they are very close to truly evil, not to be trusted creatures. but as creatures of magic, they collect magic, and as creatures of all magics naturally they are masters of obscure arcane rituals. hags as creatures are obsessed with magic and as a result they seek it in all its forms, collecting all kinds of obscure things and as a result they often become masters of particularly object based magic, causing all kinds of curses and magic items. While the origins of arcane magic come from a lot of places, hags are among the earliest that independently discovered it and likely the ones who originally taught it to humanity in some forms. hags like their brand of arcane magic as obscure and weird, as arcane magic can be, their arcane is unpredictable through its confusing usage of objects and the like, it makes people have no idea what hags have up their sleeve hags often do have some natural fey like magic too, hags are born like their parent mostly, but a tiny bit different, over time this is how hags drifted, together with the fact that hags change over their lifetime too, often in accordance of stuff like where they live and the types of magic they involve themselves with.
Hags also sometimes make covens, having mastered an arcane power, where magic can be shared among members. this is a spirit power, 1 member of a coven needs to be a spirit for this to work at least.
Like other fey they do also have a unique reproduction method, they eat children no older than 1 year, then within a couple days give birth to a child that looks the exact same, then after 13 years, that child mutates into a hag. the child is a fey that whole time already though they do not know it, they live their life normally, though magic sees them as humanoid thats because of a type of natural illusion magic placed upon them, more powerful magic will see through it, though there isn't a whole lot that can be done about the transformation, this transformation changes the personality fully, but there have been exceptions particularly if the child knew they were going to transform instances where willpower fought back have happened. hags look like grotesque vaguely feminine looking creatures. there is beyond that a LOT of variety and the types of just vague suggestions.
