Appearance

Alden has slightly longer black hair for a man that he never bothers to brush. He has a masculine face with more delicate features compared to most men. His left eye was cut out by an assassin, leaving a large scar along the left side of his face. He uses an eyepatch to cover it. His right eye is an icy blue color. Along his body are multiple tiny scars and a couple of larger ones, one from falling onto his own sword during his trainee years and the other from the same assassin that cut out his eye. His right hand is missing his pinky and ring finger.

Personality

Alden is a sarcastic, easily irritated man. He casually throws insults around as a way to have fun, expecting to be insulted back. While he may not look like it, he deeply cares for the people around him, but he would never admit to that. Alden lives a very simple way of living, caring only about his next meal and a place to sleep. One of the things he despises is people who aren't loyal, as this was what caused his family to fall apart. Alden, being a high elf, seems to have most of his intelligence placed into his physical strength, as he does not seem to realize that he can use the Mending cantrip. Even when his sister pointed it out to him, he claimed that he had no idea what she was talking about.

Relationships

Eris

His half sister from the same father. He hasn't known her for that long and even less long has he known that they were related. He casually insults her, which took a while for her to do as well. Alden, having never grown up with siblings, isn't that well versed in acting like a brother and sister but he does call her his little sister to the people around him. He was visibly confused when Eris thanked him for being alive, having no idea what it meant. Alden told her that he wanted to set off on his own again as he felt like he was just following her and her friends around.

Sulyvahn

The man that employed him to bring Eris to her shrine, safe and sound. He never had the intention of paying him, wanting to murder the young man when he found out he was biologically related to his foster daughter. Alden was glad to hear that Sulyvahn was seemingly dragged into another plane of existance.

Lyxsas Amare

His brother in law due to him getting married to Eris. Alden has never really thought about him being a Tiefling, simply thinking of the person he is. He is happy that his sister ended up with someone like him instead of someone who would treat her badly. Alden does have little patience for the man.

Iandal

Alden was nudged into talking to him by Eris, getting to know him over some wine that Deckie had found months prior. Due to their conversation being limited to a day, he hasn't known the man all that well, but well enough to tell Eris that Iandal was to be trusted.

• Alden is one of the few whose sexuality is confirmed.
  • He shares his Asexual identity with Beatriz, a Sex-repulsed Asexual.
• Alden is one of the unluckiest npc's, causing Deckie's player to joke that Alden stole Deckie's bad luck.
• Alden's name was decided very early on, as both his and the name for Eris, were made by Eris' player as Dark Souls characters. A Strength build and Pyromancy build respectively. However, Alden's name was chosen by a generator while the name Eris was chosen after researching names.
• Alden can appreciate beautiful women and beautiful men. Especially Draconic ones.
