Air Elemental
An air elemental is an Outsider from the elemental planes, specifically air. A being made up of the enegries of the planes given form, they have varying sizes, strength and sapience. The less sapient forms are mindlessly aggressive, and rage in destruction until they return to the raw elements from which they are made.
The most typical air elemental is a column of twisting dust and wind, with the vaguest shape of a mouth and head, with a height of approximately 9 feet, swift moving, but many other forms exist. If they survive in the elemental chaos for long enough, they can reach enormous size and surprising intelligence.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Air elementals appear in many forms, but are always at least partly made up of air. They tend to be coloured in light greys, light browns and blues.
Genetics and Reproduction
Air elementals can spontaneously come into existence in the elemental planes, or in areas under heavy magic. They are often intentionally created by magically infusing elemental energy into a volume of air, but elementals created in this way rarely survive for long.
Growth Rate & Stages
On the Plane of Air, elementals slowly gain size as they move about, and as they defeat other elementals. If they migrate to other plains, they cease to gain size but may turn into a mixed form, such as an ice or smoke elemental.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Air elementals don't need imbibe any substances to survive, but if trapped away from free flowing air for an extended period of time they will eventually.
Behaviour
Air elementals are typically

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Like many elementals, they can be used to fuel and power magical constructs, but Air elementals tend to be the least popular for this task.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Elementals all have a rudimentary form of vision, even when they appear eyeless. Air elementals are better able to see through mists and dust, and have better vision at long distance than other elementals.
