Jacob was born to a poor family in (Lustria City), Lustria. He was just 4 years old when his parents passed due to some illness. with nowhere else to take him in he was taken into the local orphanage that was already very full and under funded. He quickly learned that if he wanted to not sleep with an empty stomach he would need to steal and find whatever he could to eat. In the year 28PE the orphanage became haunted after one of the orphans died due to unknown circumstances. Quest Lords where hired by the city of (Lustria City) to remove the ghost that was causing the haunting. The Quest Lords couldn't find the body and the ghost was becoming more and more hostile and started to attack, it even killed one of the care takers. The Quest Lords where forced into action to fight the ghost itself. Jacob was fascinated by the Quest Lords from the first time he was them and often would follow them just to watch in awe. The fight with the ghost was an impressive display of power Jacob has never seen before. The ghost spotted Jacob watching from a distance and moved to take his life when one of the Quest Lords jumped in and saved him at the last moment. Since that day Jacob was determined to become a Quest Lord. There after he spend most of his time practicing with Amelia, his closest friend since he joined the orphanage. When they where 15 years old he and Amelia attempted to become Quest Lord initiates. The captain that was doing the screening saw how young they where and turned them away. Jacob Demanded to let him prove himself. The captain decided to humor this child and let him show him what he had. Jacob was out match and clearly not ready but were far more formidable then the captain had anticipated. The captain failed them but offered to train them so that next year they would be ready. A year later they passed with flying colors landing a few good hits on there teacher.
Amelia and Jacob continued to train hard and hone there skills and became formidable Quest Lords. They traveled the empire completing missions and seeing the world. They accepted a mission in Solemn where people where being kidnapped. There investigation led them outside of the radiance of the Phoenix Flame Crystal to the north where they where ambushed by the Keth. The group was out numbered and not prepared for the powerful foes. Amelia was stabbed in the back by an Impalor and she collapsed unconscious and bleeding. Rage filled Jacobs mind as he charged towards the mighty foe. Weapons clashed and more allies fell but Jacob was determined to come out victorious. When the battle was over Jacob the only one standing. He rushed to his fallen love and was able to stop the bleeding but the poison was already in her system. within hours she was dead. Jacob wept as broken man. Out of desperation to bring her back he began casting a powerful ritual. 3 years later Jacob arrives in Destra and joins the Slayer's Take with his companion Buneyard.
