Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition caused by an extremely stressful or terrifying event — either being part of it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety and uncontrollable thoughts about the event.   PTSD has recently become a central topic in Vesper politics, due to the large number of homeless veterans of Operation Low Tide, many of whom are casually alleged to be suffering from PTSD. Indeed, the influx of supposedly unstable veterans has been referred to by some as "the Trauma Dump."
