Glasso-Plastique
An especially sturdy, yet lightweight and relatively pliable material used in military-grade armor. There are vague claims that glasso-plastique is also used in coating certain Telecomputer wires, though the material is not flexible enough for such a use.
Cobalt, which is most often used in the development and powering of electronics (especially Teionics), is notoriously vital for the development of glasso-plastique, though exactly why is unknown.
Like most amazing technological advancements, glasso-plastique was developed by Firmament and remains proprietary technology.
