Salvaging: Airport Ending Process

After the months if not years of the Salvaging Industry, Salvaging an airport at some point, their temporary home as to come to an end, and everything has to be taken down.

Equipment

As with the fences, the cloth that was draped over them is removed and rolled up and the fences that were acting as corridors are taken down. The fences that are walls for temporary areas are kept up to allow for these areas to be packed up.

Areas

Metal Refinement

The metal refinement area is packed up by the graphite moulds being packed away, not depending on their size but on the metal they are for. The forge that melts the metal is then packed separately after this all tools are then packed away into boxes.

Processing The Hardware

The tools are put away and any waste from stripping the wires is burned. This is the same process for the Metal Testing Area.

Washing And Cleaning

The water that was used and dirt is dumped into a drain. The rest of the washing equipment is cleaned. The tubs that were used for bathing are left out in the sun to dry. Once dry they are put with everything else to be moved.

Food And Drink Preparation

As with the Washing and Cleaning area, the water and dirt are dumped into a drain. Cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment is cleaned and put away.

A Place To Socialise

The tables are taken apart and their parts put into separate boxes.

Metals and other Materials

For gold and silver ingots these are counted and put into a secure lockable box. Other metals are sorted into crates, counted and pushed of trolleys. The other materials are counted and similarly packed into crates.

Aftermath

In the aftermath, the airport will be a shell of its former self ready for the local community to take it over. Once repaired the airport could become more accommodation or a market. It is up to the local community to decide what the airport will become.

Payment

Since they know how much of each material they have, the industry takes a running cost, each employee gets a certain percentage on how much they have in materials.
