Personal history
For several years Nyla was used as a personal weapon by a slaver, but only moments after she was freed by Kip-Kip, she killed her captor and made a deal with Kip, declaring herself her friend. Now she seems to be hanging around, curiously watching her rescuer.
Morality & Philosophy
Nyla seems to have her own code of honor that she follows, evident by how she treats her rescuer, Kip-Kip, and how Nyla listens to her request. Though she herself has expressed that she prefers to solve most problems with killing and would've killed Kip-Kip for simply being in her presence had she not freed Nyla.
