How to stream your tabletop RPG games ?
So you're like playing Savage Worlds, DnD, Call of Cthulhu, d20 system or one of many other tabletop RPG games out there. Perhaps you've been a GM for quite some time and now you want to share your games with others. The best way to do this is to stream your games online. Fortunately there are quite a few platform out there where you can do that for free.
Here are some of your platform options:
1) YouTube, probably the biggest platform out there although it's very saturated with content. 2) Twitch - dedicated platform for gaming and very easy to start. 3) TikTok - there aren't many people streaming their tabletop games over there at the moment so it may be a good place to start. What equipment will you need to stream your tabletop games ?
This will depend on how and where do you play your games. Either way, do not worry, you probably already have all the equipment needed to stream your games. If you play online using platforms like Roll20 or Foundrythen it's super easy. All you have to do is to screen-cast from your computer and the job is done. Of course, you will need some players to show up on time as well :)If you are playing at home, at a real world table :) you'll have to figure out a way to film it. Again, as mentioned above, you already have the equipment. So don't go buying expensive cameras. Your smartphone or the camera you already have will do the job. Of course you will have to consider a couple of things such as your camera placement, lighting etc. However, if you are just starting, I wouldn't worry too much. Just give it a try and see how it goes.
That is it for now. I had you'll have a lot of fun and success streaming your games. Let me know how it goes in the comments below.
