Spinnich

Sticky Silk Florabeast

Spinnich originated at the salty seaside of certain Old World countries, spinning their webs in the corners of buildings and walls. Nowadays they can be found nearly everywhere, continuing their work of binding the world together. Small enough to fit in a lady’s reticule, they are a common sight in such a place, providing a portable and endlessly renewable source of strong silk thread excellent for weaving or knitting. Spinnich-silk garments are in high demand for their durability and ease of wear, especially among Guardiners.

Guardiners don’t usually favor Spinnich directly for their defensive capabilities, due to their small size, though they can hamper a foe in a pinch with their sticky threads. The color of a Spinnich’s thread depends on the soil in which they rooted the previous night.
