Eelclair
Pastry Snake Aberration
One of the best tools out on the Frontier is a good pair of boots. Much of the land is harsh and unforgiving, and you never know what you might step on. Snakes tend to leave people well enough alone, maybe they read that part in the Good Book about having their heads crushed and they aren't eager to test it. Some Florabeasts like to slither around in the grass and branches, but the worst an Ivyper would do is give you a rash, and Rattlebeans can't do much of anything. But it's a good thing you've got those boots on, since Eelclairs are nastier than anything else out there.
Long and slippery, made of dough on their undersides and covered with sticky sweet goo on the top, Eelclairs are creative hunters. If they find a Florabeast smaller than them, they'll wrap it up in their squishy bodies and squeeze it until it's compost. For bigger ones, it wipes that dark brown goo all over them, which hardens up like glue and keeps them from moving while they suck the life out of them. Either way it's not worth watching.
Most Florabeasts won't just sit around and let this happen, though. Between them fighting back and their planters using sticks or knives to get the thing off, disaster can usually be averted. Cutting it up generally isn't a good idea, though, since there are many stories of Eelclairs being sliced in half and each part keeping up the fight on their own. Definitely not worth the effort.
