Geological / environmental event
The first mammals, as well as the first dinosaurs, emerge at this time.
With the recovery from the end-Paleozoic extinction well underway, life diversifies anew early in the Mesozoic. The first true mammals emerge, the distant ancestors of the Frithitt. Dinosaurs also diversify at this time. For the next 225 million years, until the ascendancy of Frithitt civilization, dinosaurs would remain the dominant form of terrestrial animal on Frith.
